Not a fan? Or just looking for finally, some fresh national representation from the MIAC?

I know there are only a handful of programs old enough for their first players to have daughters hitting college age, but does anyone know if this is the first second generation player in DIII WIH to play on the same rink as her mom?
What is her name? And more importantly, is she a goaltender? Carolyne was a great player on those early teams.

        A. Crap I'm old now.

        B. This is awesome.

        C. Carolyne Roy was a very good goaltender. Lynn Taylor and Elizabeth Gibson were some other early studs on that team.

Her name is Parker Riley, she is a forward for the Windsor SW Wildcats. She had some decent point production playing with the U18 squad but she wasn't as productive her first season with the U22s last season...

Did someone have a crush on Lynn Taylor in those days? I'm trying to remember....

With Michelle McAteer leaving Augsburg to become commissioner of the WCHA, it leaves a big coaching opening in the MIAC. What direction does Auggie go at this late date?

They could go with Bauer as at least the interim, though she's only going into her 2nd season as a collegiate coach.

Unless Auggie has someone waiting in the wings, this seems like the most likely option. Perhaps find an experienced assistant or consultant to help mentor her. A national search in August isn't going to yield the type of candidates I'm sure they would hope to attract under normal circumstances.

Could the vacancy at Augsburg have hastened this promotion? Or is she entrenched enough that she wouldn't have been attracted to running her own program at Augsburg?

While this is true, it doesn't hurt to make sure she's locked down. I'd anticipate that the Augsburg AD would at least make a phone call to gauge interest.

Dave Clausen has stepped down at Utica after 24 seasons.

Utica has Melissa Lomanto, a veteran head coach who held that role as Morrisville, Canton and Adrian, as their assistant.

According to a source, Clausen stepped back from the head coaching role to free his schedule with his son starting his D3 baseball career at Clarkson and his daughter slated to play goalie for D1 Quinnipiac in Fall 2025. He will remain the golf coach.

Carla Pentimone of WCHR is reporting that Lomanto has been named Interim HC but not seeing that reported anywhere else.

Granted Carla could have heard from Lomanto or Clausen directly given her network
