Ohio State had five goals during the weekend, and three of them were scored by "former" Badgers. That amuses me.

I am not very amused, but I get it. Web wanted to play grass hockey. Wheeler's departure is clouded. Maybe had OB left, Wheeler would have gotten O'B's spot/$$. I am happy The Fr F's are getting plenty of seasoning this season. There are big shoes to fill next year and one of them will need to do it.

A split was not unexpected. Hopefully I can can watch the games on the BTN+ archive this week.

This falling behind thing is getting old. And it's dangerous as happened Saturday.

Todd M indicated that Maggie has an upper body injury. The freshman line held its own and Finley notched another goal for the year. Coach mentioned in his after-game comments that she stepped into Maggie's center role and did well.

Scannell is listed as day-to-day (which fortunately means whatever it is isn't serious), but we have a pretty big advantage that with the St. Thomas/Maine/Mankato stretch coming up we don't have to press her back into the lineup before 2025.

It was nice to see Zillich getting some playing time. She even got top play with Edwards and OB in the 3rd period once UW stretched the lead out.

The trip out to Maine should be a fun one for the ladies. Gotta get some fresh lobsta. I look forward to seeing Maine at LaBahn for the return series, hopefully next year.

The Kato series looks for be tricky, they were a flubbed shot away from sweeping that other team.

It's sad we won't be back in the rink until 2025, what an ugly schedule.

Maybe I noticed something that's always been there, but Friday night it jumped out at me how many touch/deflection passes they were doing on the breakout and on this particular night how badly they were working out. Soft, inaccurate, truly ugly. The 1st period and the 6th period the shot differentials were not good. In the 6th period the Tommies outshot UW. Have the Tommies EVER outshot UW in a period? And the game was in the balance at 3-2. Maybe they had a hangover from the previous series. Glad for the wins but there's work to do.

I thought Gorbotenko had a very good series. She had got a bit vanished it seemed like for a few games. The 3rd line was great Friday. They were rewarded with the start on Saturday. I'd like to see the 2 goals allowed again and see what went wrong on those.

The second goal was right in front of me and can be basically tossed out. The puck took an absolutely insane carom off the back glass and gifted them an opportunity with everyone out of position. I've been sitting in that corner since LaBahn opened and I've never seen a puck come off the back boards like that before.
