There are several posts at the end of page 34 that discuss line groupings. I have been pondering them myself and here are mine.
For the forwards:
Line1: Edwards, Simms, O’Brien: No reason to disrupt it. I look for a repeat performance.
Line2: Eden, Woz, McCarthy. Woz and Eden complement each other, McCarthy adds some balance
Like3: Hall, Gorbatenko, Scannell. Hall will be more confident and the other two will benefit from her play making.
Line4: Enright, Picard, Halverson. Enright had become a very good forward in the latter part of her first season. I expect her to return to form relatively quickly. Picard is tenacious and improved last season. I think Halverson may be a sleeper with a lot of upside.
I am not wedded to these, other than Line1 1. But any change to that line would startle me.
Vasseur is somewhat of an enigma. To my knowledge, the nature of the back injury that caused her to redshirt last season was never made explicit. Back injuries can linger and take extended time to fully heal. So, I prefer bringing her along slowly until there are no lingering concerns. Zilisch’s stats from her time at Bemidji simply raise doubts. So I need to see if she ups her game with the Badgers.
For the D:
Line1: Remains Harvey and Jungels. Enough said.
Line2: Koslowski and Vesuvio/Potter
Line3: Murphy and Potter/Vesuvio.
At issue here is that Murphy and Vesuvio have played together for Canada, and both have aggressive styles of playing. That might make a for a strong pairing and one with considerable offensive punch as well. Bickett should see some time however.
A final comment about Enright. I want to thank BadgerPete for posting a copy of an Enright Instagram (also to be found at the end of Page 34). In her Instagram, Enright discusses the impacts of her knee injury and how they affected her outlook more generally. Enright is articulate and thoughtful in discussing the full impact on her from having to deal with both the injury and recovery. I encourage everyone to read it.

I don't think we're particularly concerned about strength of schedule given our other two non-con series are BC and Maine which aren't going to help particularly either.

They're out on an island compared to the rest of the AHA schools so its not just us; it's the whole WCHA doing them a solid.

You had the number wrong; not #10, it's #18. Owen Lindmark.

It seems me that I have been perhaps underestimating how good this team can be. TDM dropped a couple articles and in the history of the program they have never returned as much goal scoring and point production as they are returning this season. Not even the Knight Duggan Decker era returned this much scoring in a season. Perhaps I have been numbed by their recent greatness and distracted by other teams.
Other interesting tidbits.....KK has been impressed by Venusio. Very fast, a hard shot and great recovery. Sounds like KK 2.0. Love it. Scannell is a power forward, she could slot into Curl's spot. Scannell scored 146 goals at SSM, her 3 full seasons she scored 46 39 53. OB was 37 47 in 2 full seasons. OB was a little more assist oriented than Scannell at SSM.
On Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another recruit for 26-27: Rosalie Tremblay, F from Sherbrooke, Quebec. Was one of the youngest players to play with the Canadian U18s at the summer series this year. Same program as Marianne Picard.
She was part of an article about the younger players: https://thehockeynews.com/womens/int...ding-their-wayLast edited by BadgerPete; 09-26-2024, 10:32 PM.
