At the outset, we could hang with the dude...

CBS Sports recently reported Ohio States football players will be the highest paid in the sport. Once can't help but wonder how much will trickle down to the hockey players. I assume that's public knowledge if you know where to look for the payouts?

Make sense as you get a bigger impact at an event in front of 100,000 people compared to 400 hundred. Combined women's and mens hockey is a number south of 1% of a total institution's NIL number. It doesn't appear that there are any hockey players are in the NIL top 100 women.

I'd forgotten how much turnover we've had in the WCHA this year until I saw the lineup for the WCHA's Media Day. WCHA Commissioner Michelle McAteer, and new head coaches Laura Schuler, Amber Fryklund, and Shari Dickerman, all of whom have roots in the league that go back many years in other roles, are among the speakers.
It also reminded me of how out of touch I've become, as I don't remember the teams having players participate along with the coach before. Plus, shame on me for not recognizing a couple of names, Bemidji's Alyssa Watkins and Wisconsin's TBA. Although, I probably shouldn't take the list too seriously, because the league sent out an email saying the event was taking place on Tuesday, 9/17, while the schedule shows Wednesday, 9/14, so who knows what season "TBA" might be a remnant of."...
