And surprisingly - unless I'm reading something wrong, and I could be - the answer is "zero"? Nobody on the 2021-22 roster who was a freshman that year is still on the roster? Honestly, I did not intend to actually post something here, until I came up with that answer. Is that really the case? Am I missing someone?

(The wiseguy part of the answer is there is one player on the current OSU roster who won a natty as a freshman - Makenna Webster.)
    Wow this is crazy.

Looks to me like Ohio State only had 2 freshmen in 2021-22, and those 2 have transfered to UMaine and a USports school, but OSU currently has about 8 players who won the national title in 2022. It also looks like the freshmen this season have played in more games and tallied overall more points than the freshmen in 2021-22.

(As for the rest, since the "new era" of Muzerall started with her first final four team in 2018, Clarkson has one championship, Ohio St has one, and Wisconsin has three. So there's that.)
Don't be interrupting the duckies and bunnies fest that exists here with facts like that.

I say in all confidence Ohio State is now the team to beat, not only in the WCHA but the entire country. As a fan of an opponent you may find it an inconvenient truth but the truth it is.

It really helps your save percentage when your defense is so good you hardly face any shots! Gotta love it!

Amos has that Liz Shepherds attitude and leads by example. As a freshman it incredibly impressive. The young talent and incoming talent is going to be fun to watch. I really love Baxter's game as well. Fleming has been strong and focused in her development. It's an enlightening experience to be a freshman on this current roster.

It was great seeing Joy get WCHA Rookie of the Year! She has been fun to watch this season, along with our other first-year players. Based on the other player of the year picks and the all-WCHA Teams, Nadine should win the WCHA Coach of the Year award in a landslide since the league doesn't think our players are that good. Can't have it both ways. If the league is going to say our players aren't that good, then our coach must be the best coach in the league, hands-down.
