At this point OSU fans are cheering for just the school colors as they’ve got no investment in a lot of the team that’s parachuted in. A lot like Kentucky men’s basketball fans and their annual one-and-done roster turnovers. Definitely makes the Buckeyes more fun to beat!

I hope they'll be be happy in their new home and they made the best decision for themselves. It's quite a roster for next season!

The amount of knowledge on this site is always impressive at least to me.

No. To be a grad transfer, you first must be a 'grad". An undergraduate degree completed, and accepted and (about to be) enrolled in a graduate school.

The portal 'closes' in another day or two? 60 days since the NCAA field was announced.
May 4th is indeed the final day that the "one-time undergrad" portal is open for women's hockey. Transfers due to coaching changes and grad transfer can continue after May 4.

Remember that some of the players on college rosters are still a part of the recruiting change that happened several years ago. I know of several girls who committed as 8th graders/Freshmen in high school who haven't turned into the players the coaches thought they'd be. So there is some movement based on the fact that coaches need players to fill in those rolls, and some players are moving on because it's not what they were promised.

So glad the recruiting rules changed. Ridiculous that you had 14-15 year olds making those decisions. And coaches jumping at girls before that window closed because they couldn't talk to them for two years once the rules changed.

A couple of Olivia's show up in the GPL tansfer portal page...

    Olivia Mobley - Quinnipiac
    Olivia Wallin - Penn State

Another from Penn State? Was it known that Wallin was going to transfer?

I suppose I should just assume they will wind up being sucked into the portal vortex that the muzzinator has created...

I've been looking for this as well. If anyone has a tip for the raw data I'd be happy to parse out the DIII players and compile it...

I thought there are always last minute shifts, people deciding at the last minute to go someplace else.
My understanding is that a player/student-athlete must enter the portal while it is open to be able to transfer schools without having to sit out a year. They do not have to have committed to a new school while the portal is open, just have entered. One exception is if a school has a coaching change; then student athletes can transfer away without having to sit out, regardless of the portal process, etc.
