Is that eelpout that you are talking about here?

That's been a concern of mine as well. The last thing either team needs are injuries now that's it's crunch time with conference and national tournaments looming!

I appreciate the realistic view of this series. I feel like UW has not had a lot of puck luck this season and I hope they didn't use it all up last weekend. MN definitely had some nice apples to UW players last week. On the other hand, UW looked putrid in the 3rd period of game 1. I can't understand of the 6 periods last week, they were horribly inconsistent, which is not the hallmark of a MJ coached team. I think it's going to be splitsville.

UW at rodent tunnelers U. > Too many darn tunnels to get through in 2 hrs. BADgers gonna leave rodentapolis hungry.
Well. Muzzies did Watts Muzzies do.
St. Cloud did get a point.
MSU swept, more than sniffing 5th.
BADgers survive a weak weak game one finish and Curl Kesseled the crowd. Game 2 someone plugged the emergency exits and da BADgers got a belly full of tasty treats.

MN at Tommies. If the Tommies sweep and UW sweeps, UW gets second place! Finish strong Tommies. So you are telling me there's a chance.....

MSU at St. Cloud. Tied with 30 pts, a true battle for 5th and the chance to go to Duluth or Madison for the weekend. What a prize for 1 team!
UMD at BSU. A couple spirited practices for UMD.

10 fingers...8 teams...That seems doable, although you probably would be tempted to cheat with an abacus.

You're correct; this isn't particularly useful for national, but luckily, we have Grant for that. As for the WCHA, they likely used PowerPoint and their fingers as their main computational tools.

Head-to-head. Minnesota wins two wins, one loss, one tie.

    Co-champs, Minn the #1 seed.

As far as standings points, yes, I think so, too. Ohio State has 66 and Minnesota has 63.

(but they're bunching overtime wins and shootout wins, and for NPI those are treated differently, aren't they?)

    --------------

The 'standings page' at the WCHA web site shows Ohio State with two OT wins; it should be three. And then they mis-calculate the total even for what they show.
For Minnesota, the standings page shows zero shootout wins; it should be one.
