BC was just picked #6 in the Hockey East pre season poll. This is not a national poll, this is a Hockey East poll. It is really hard for me to believe how quickly they have fallen. No one to blame but themselves.

They will lose both games badly to Wisconsin. If I had to predict I would say 7-0/4-1. Shot totals for 2 games will be something like 80-12 !

BC is so far away from competing for a National title again its scary

I can't help wondering how much of a difference it made in the preseason poll from losing Barnes & Bilka?
But that's hockey, rebuild & reload and you won't really know how well you've done until the seasons underway.

rd9 not being happy with the bc women's program going down the toilet doesn't seem unbelievable to me. Seems like a reaction a fan of a once top program would have to what is happening...

Once you're on top most fans expect their team to stay on top. When they don't, it's thinner time!

UW will only get 80 shots over 2 games? Sad. I'll take the over on that one and I think they will allow more than 12 as well.

As cool as it would be to get out to Madison for these, I don't think a Thursday-Friday series halfway across the country is in the cards for me. Mrs. TTT likes when I don't have to go away overnight without her, so I try to keep those to a minimum. I should be able to get up to BC a little more often for day trips with the plane, though, so that'll be nice.

In addition... as much as I hate to say it, I've finally had to start to step back from regularly writing articles on BCI across the board. Work has gotten way busier for me these days with me taking over after my manager's retirement, so I'm finally going to start just enjoying the games without having to bust out the laptop every night. If we get any big W's I can always throw an article up here and there.

Having said that, I do still plan on doing the Pairwise and KRACH calculators. Those are kind of a pet project for me.

I think the issue is lazy recruiting. They don't really look much outside of Mass and good talent from outside the area that come banging on the door don't even get a response. Many reports of this.

That said, I don't think this year's team will be as bad as predicted. They will get waxxed by Wisco, lose both to Clarkson to start 0-4, but should be in the top four in HE.

The barometer for the season will be BU vs BC. The change in coaching for Syracuse was worse for Syracuse then before at least short term. Will the change in coaching for BU have a positive net effect? There aren't many turnarounds like the coach for Yale and Davis for RIT have had on a team's fortune.

Smigliani for BC will be solid if she can stay healthy.

The barometer is BC vs BU ? Both team stink. I have no idea why that is relevant. Tony the Tiger see the writing on the wall so he is checking out. He knows BCWIH is toast for 3-4 more years and I'm sure he is just as upset about it as I am. What a huge loss for all of us who love BCWIH

Vintage Dublin Not sure why you think its ok to not be upset about what has happened to the BC program. Unacceptable and it NEVER should have happened. Watching these great players leave BC for other options is beyond explicable. Its going to be another LONG season. Take it to the bank
