4 D is impressive, usually the F & G's from WI playing internationally. Obviously a little surprised O'Brien and Webster aren't on the list since they were fixtures on the U18 team, but there is so much talent to jump and they are not there yet. I am dreading the next Olympics. That's a post for another time.
    So just for clarification...

You are referring to the March 24-30 evaluation camp roster of 46 players?
At the outset, we could hang with the dude...

        • It is a great day for hockey!

These east/west matchups are always tough to get a read on, and that is an understatement this season. All I know is UW is battle tested, come from behind in critical games, won in OT, so they have all the experience and tools to get the job done. Let's go RED!

There is a national narrative the Blair isn't the Soup/ARD/Rigsby level player. Sure if you look at the numbers they are not there, but they are not that far off either and there have been minimal cupcakes to fatten stats on. It was a murder's row schedule for UW and a 2.02 gaa and a .92 save percent is great considering they played, like 70% of their games against top 6 teams?

The top line needs to get working somehow, and it would be nice for the PP to work more consistently in clutch times. (we all can see what a great clutch PP can do for a team with the guys). Providence's PP is #2 in the country. 22%. UW is 7th @ 18%. PK UW 12th @ 88%, Providence 22nd @ 84%. Providence has 2 shorties, UW has zero, which is rather shocking. I think in the tourney that zero will change.

          Let's go RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • It was a long time ago but Blair played great in her one previous NCAA game, vs Clarkson. Good point about the very few cupcakes thing. PGB made a similar point in his interview with BCI, to explain so few goals per game this year.

                • Providence has a chip and a chair but realistically not much of a chance. However...the BURN would be legendary if the Sinners lose...

                    • The UW twitter feed has line charts up for both teams, and the four forwards who 'disappeared' from the Providence lineup during February and their tournament are listed. But only one is listed in the first three forward lines, the others are 4th line or 'extra skater'. They still have two players who are listed on their website as 'defensemen' who are playing wings on the third line.

                      • A couple 'notes' mentioned by Reid Magnum on the Badger radio broadcast:

                        - Seventh straight Final Four appearance, the most ever for a women's hockey team (with the 2020 asterisk, of course)

                        - Fifth straight NCAA quarterfinal shutout for Wisconsin; last goal given up to BU in 2015 (UW 5-1 win)

                        - fourth straight NCAA shutout for UW; Campbell's three in 2019, and today. The last goal was the OT goal that gave Colgate the semi-final win in 2018.

What kind of thinner are you taking? It should have a calming effect. Try doubling the dosage.

The Big Ten race was so close that there were two ways to do the standings with uneven numbers of games, regular win percent and percent of standings points won; that is, a tie is a half-win vs the tie being one-third or two-thirds a win, depending on shootout, etc. The Big Ten did 'win percent' and Wisconsin came out on top. If they had chosen 'standings points percent', Minnesota would have been the conference champs.

Tonight is a complete coin flip.

But you're a philosophical fan. Tim's approach is to go for the thinner and then wonder why he feels like puking.

I only thinner to wash away the bad thoughts. I was looking at it during the 2nd period when Providence had UM players in their uniforms. I was a little apprehensive.
