Well...Penn State has said that all home series will be broadcast on BTN+, and this coming weekend series is a home series. Checking the BTN+ schedule, there are no games listed on either day. BTN+ replied to my email saying if a game isn't on the schedule, it's not being broadcast. So either Penn State is wrong or BTN+ is wrong. The best plan, if you're expecting to watch this series, is to check the BTN+ schedule early on game day, I guess, and see if a livestream is happening or not.

Penn State Athletics sent out an email saying all home games will be streamed on BTN+, but there are no CHA games on their schedule yet. I guess it will be something to watch for closer to game day.

Now that at least half a season of CHA play has been announced, here's a look at the 2020-21 version of the Penn State women's hockey team.
This year it's nine freshmen, four sophomores, six juniors, and five seniors - 24 total on the roster. There are twelve forwards, seven defenders, and five goalies.
I guess it doesn't matter why some expected players aren't on the roster anymore, but some expected players aren't on the roster anymore. The senior class is down to four players and a fifth-year senior: Natalie Heising, Katie Rankin, Morgan Rolph, Chantal Burke, and fifth-year senior Jenna Brenneman.
There are five goalies, but only two that have a chance to start - seniors Jenna Brenneman and Chantal Burke. It remains to be seen if Brenneman has fully recovered from her injury and is back to form, but Chantal Burke was solid in net last season, to say the least, so there's no worries at goalie.
The forwards are very freshman-heavy: six freshmen, three sophomores, one junior, and two seniors. I can't even start to dream up a starting lineup, much less any lines at all, but freshman forwards will be jumping in right from the start. The defense should look the same as last season, as there is only one freshman and one sophomore this season, and four juniors and one senior. Jessica Adolfsson is a junior and back in the lineup, which is good news, and hopefully she is fully recovered and back at full strength.
Natalie Heising is the captain in her senior season, and she's going to be critical as a leader of a young offense. Look for sophomore Rachel Weiss to also play a big role - she looked very comfortable at D-1 as a freshman, so she should be one to watch this season.
Things kick off at home against Lindenwood November 29-30 (Sunday and Monday), both games at 2:00 Eastern. There's no word yet on any live streaming for either game.

Keep the info coming! Did Eastwood play for Syracuse last night or has she finally graduated? When it says redshirt senior it throws me off. Also I'm surprised to see Mercyhurst at 10 with Nuutinen and Robillard having graduated, but at least it is a CHA team.
I guess I'll have to start coming to the site more regularly as I missed your link to the Syracuse Colgate game. Keep up those links as simulcast will probably be the only way to watch this year. I noticed they had listed one fan in attendance.
The PSU roster does look different. And I notice, PSU has out there that they signed two players.Last edited by Reddington; 11-21-2020, 09:22 AM.

Here are the four known series for Penn State so far - Lindenwood and Robert Morris are the only two schools with full schedules posted right now. No times have been announced yet, and no streaming info yet, either.
Nov. 29-30 vs Lindenwood (both games at Penn State)
Jan. 15-16 vs Lindenwood (both games at Penn State)
Jan. 22-23 vs Robert Morris (both games at Penn State)
Feb. 5-6 vs Lindenwood (both games at Lindenwood)

It's still game day for Penn State, according to the Robert Morris schedule. Robert Morris hasn't posted anything about the series being cancelled, and Penn State hasn't even said there is (or ever was) a series scheduled, so who knows? Nothing at Robert Morris about players testing positive, either. Any Robert Morris fans out there with some scoop?

There might be games next weekend depending on testing with Lindenwood next Sunday and Monday. Hoping for the best.

I don’t even know if I want a college season given the pandemic but as I said earlier in the summer its been frustrating to see what meaningful things have been axed, and what non essential stuff has continued. Cross state adult rec hockey tournaments are continuing, but the college kids are struggling just to get a game in.

Yes, Hurst’s site is the same. I was wondering if there were layoffs at the SID departments, or if they’ve given up trying to share info when things are so day to day. The league should be updating their site though with basic info like a composite schedule and I don’t think they’ve even done that.

Two days before the first series of the season, and not a word from Penn State about it. No word on a schedule, no word on how to watch the games, etc. In fact, since the Hockey Commissioner's Association announced a delay to the start of the season over two months ago, Penn State hasn't said anything about 2020-21. How about an interview with Kampersal and ask how the schedule is going? How about telling fans how to watch games this season, if they won't be allowed inside Pegula Ice Arena? Or will they be allowed into the arena? Anything would be nice.
