The lines are out. Not many changes except the obvious ones for Yale. Brown with the same lineup they used against RPI.

    Zolnierczyk-Maclellan-Zaires
    Volpatti-Timberlake-Farnham
    Brownschidle-Fratkin-Smith
    Fernandez-Senecal-Ryan

    McMonagle-Buvinow
    Russell-Wolff
    Crowley-Van der Linden

    Rosen in nets.

    For Yale:

    Kearney-Arcobello-Little
    O'Neill-Miller-Laganier
    Anderson-Mason-Brockett
    Ziegler-Limbert-Balch

    Matczak-Peel
    Dignard-Dueck
    Donald-Martin

    Maricic in nets.

So kind of what we expected. Didn't know Matczak would be back though. He replaces the rotation of Trentowski and Jaskowiak

This is going to sound random, but does the goaltending conundrum for Yale this year remind anyone else of the 1998 Clarkson team with Dan Murphy and Chris Bernard?

Well it certainly doesn't remind me of the 1998 Bulldogs, the previous Yale standard. That year, Alex Westlund won the Dryden Award and had maybe the best season ever of any Yale goaltender.

Correction: Blase in net for Yale. Line sheet listed Maricic above him, even though his number is higher. Thus it looked like he was starting. But no, it's the senior from Santa Monica, CA.

I can't help but think Allain did that to throw us all off. That's just the kind of guy he is.

again despite the line sheet on the first shift for each line, it's kearney-little-limbert and miller-arco-oneill

Right... that much I remember pretty vividly. But that Clarkson team was fairly loaded, and had a great year all things considered, but had really odd, inconsistent goaltending from the otherwise excellent Dan Murphy, and the somehow Bernard half wrestled the job away from him because he didn't play as well but just kept winning, and suddenly it seemed like Clarkson was replacing goalies midway through every game (including the ECAC . Anyway, it's neither here nor there, just thought I'd mention it...

Yale doesn't really seem to be playing like themselves at the start. Not getting any sustained pressure. Limbert had one decent chance.

puck came out to Maclellan in the slot and he ripped a slapshot but Blase was all over it, anticipating and coming well out of the crease to challenge

brown is definitely outchancing Yale halfway through the first, but Yale will get the first power play. An offensive zone trip taken by Jarred Smith as Yale was trying to break out of the zone. Immediate glove save for C'Mente off the draw.

pp kill. one shot right at the end. yale keeps pressure on off the end of penalty but russell holds the puck in the slot for a whistle after he blocked a shot. Miller gave him a little extra and goes off for a slash at 12:20
