That's is the lamest excuse ever....in that case no one should be able to whistle either....I on second thought might as well put muzzles on everyone in case someone yells change

we are just beating our heads against the wall on the matter , if the security has the authority to enforce the wishes of coach emery ,the AD and the governing body for the NCAA ,what choice do we really have but to find ways to be loud and supportive without horns and cowbells . Sadly the music has not even vaguely represented the hockey music in arenas and the new PA announcer is very stiff and leaves a little to be desired . he isnt even accurate on the numbers for the home team when announcing the starting line up.

Ironically we have more home games this season then ever , no scoreboard to speak of , our proud tradition is severly tarnished and the net effect is we are trying to make the Ronald B stafford a premiere hockey venue with half hearted ,low budget gimics .....start by admitting the scoreboards were a bad choice , tear them down ,get a refund and go elsewhere for new product , unless the sales rep is some how tied to the program thru bloodline . Hard to fire a relative?

If I was asked I would begin an "ask the fan (customer) " campaign to see what the "majority" of the fan base is saying they expect from their hockey experience . It could be done by the marketing classes at SUNY and help students as well as the fieldhouse staff and sport mangement answer their critics with real world data.

Last but not least, whats up with the zamboni , I hear from many knowledgeable rink rats that the ice surfacing attempts by the staff between periods is not very good , excess water is abundant ,large swatches are missed , is this something to do with the equipment or is it just another example of the program needing a shakeup and get some new expertise on the zamboni .

And like I said, we did it for over 20 years....there was no need for it to end.

However, it's the townspeople that don't want to hear the noise. I'm starting to think they may start serving scones and tea because they may be turning the place into Wimbledon.

And the Elmira fans complained about their AD"......It's not that bad at the Thunder Domes. Just keep doing what you've been doing, maybe they'll give up.
