SNC and CSS play each other during conference play and don't need to meet in another tourney. It gives natural rivals SNC & LU a regular meeting - something which had been lacking for several years. It sets their plans on this weekend, and allows them to bring in another team. I hope it continues for years to come.
Time for SNC to put its 29-0 record vs. Vikings on the line!

And, yes, I am well aware that Lawrence's record books indicate they have a win against SNC. That was in the first year Lawrence's team played in the NCAA, but it was the last year it was a club sport at SNC.

Very intrigued to see what Lawrence can do against SNC tomorrow....
Geneseo representing the East well right now too. If they can take that title, that will be a nice boost for the East.

St. Olaf beats Lake Forest 6-0
First Forrester goalie gave up 3 goals on 4 shots, not a great way to start a game. 2nd one gave up 3 goals on 36 shots.

CSS seemed to gain momentum midway through the 3rd period, but Lawrence got the two goals in the matter of about 15 seconds to retake the lead.
Nice win for the Vikings. See how they manage against SNC tomorrow nite.
About Marian vs SNC: I expected more from the Sabres.
SNC seemed to have their way in the Marian zone. Our strong forecheck created plenty of offensive pressure. The smaller Lawrence ice sheet seemed to stifle the speedy Marian forwards from cleanly breaking out of their own end.
When they would break out into our zone, our D was up to the challenge and gave up very few quality scoring chances.
