Stevens-Point wins 9:28 into the 4th overtime, 129:28 of hockey tonight

An instant classic tonight, they get Adrian next week

Sorry Russell, didn't know how to describe that nasty two word phrase! I was hoping that you would say that the overtime continues until someone scores, because the other way is no indication of how well a team performs. Teams, not shooting individuals nor the goalie, is the operative word.

Good, the Pointers scored, now I can go to bed.

Watched most of the Norwich/Plattsburgh game. Good game but very odd in that there were no penalties. I don't know if that was good or bad. It did seem that at end of the game the teams got chippy and the refs lost control. Just my opinion.

Pretty spot on, D3 refs leave a lot to be desired.

Agreed, refs lost control of the game by leaving their whistles in their duffle bags. I really thought someone was going to sustain a serious injury, like a head or neck trauma. There were at least 4 boarding calls in the third period that didn't get called and would have been a 5 minute major in any other game. Why are the NCAA games officiated to a lesser standard than the regular season? You would think they would be called tightly because the players are already emotionally wired because of the fact that you lose a game, your season is over. The refs are responsible for the safety of the players, and I can't imagine the guilt felt by the refs if a player becomes paralyzed because the game was out of conþrol.

I know the "let them play" train of thought but that should not be applied when dangerous plays are occurring.

                        Great tempo, despite the zeros.

Kinda feels like last year, though...

Gonna have to put a ton of rubber on Girard to even get a couple through.
