Final, Norwich 3 J&W 2 in a surprisingly close game. Norwich looked less energized tonight than last week, but J&W has improved greatly, so it was hard to assess. Norwich outshot J&W 32-18. Atherton was in goal and Clark Kerner had 2 goals, Doggett had the third. O'Mara had 2 assists.

End of second, UMB 1, Norwich 0. Terrible period for the Cadets, passing is off, they are not taking shots at the net and following in and way too many penalties. The term "a period from hell" sums it up in my opinion.

I have watched that Adrian at Augsburg 2-2 Game last Thursday like 3 times now. Great early season Game.

Augsburg would lose its next Game to UW-Stout(4-0-0) in OT and then defeat UW-Superior the next night to level its record at 1-1-1. Next they will host #15 UW-Eau Claire this Friday

Adrian continues to motor on as they are now 3-0-1 and defeated UW-Superior the next night after beating Augsburg. They now start NCHA action with a Fri/Sat Home back to back against Marian(1-1-0). Marian will come into the Gane with almost a week and a half since its last game and plenty of time to prepare for Adrian.

Officiating was terrible in the Plattsburgh / Geneseo game. Through two periods, Geneseo was 1 for 5 on the powerplay, Plattsburgh was 0 for 0. In the third, Plattsburgh was 0 for 4 on the power play and I don't think Geneseo got a power play in the third. Our least favorite official, O'Brien definitely put his stamp on this game. With Geneseo up a man in the second, he called an unsportsmanlike on Plattsburgh's bench to put the Cards down two men. I sit behind Plattsburgh's bench and there was nothing unusual coming from them at that time.

As for the game itself, it seemed pretty evenly matched. Both goaltenders made some eye-popping saves. Other than the officials (well, official), it was a great game to watch.
