No I don't. Utica should not be rewarded because we beat up on the bottom feeders of Division 3 all season and then took 5 of 6 points from the only other good team. Anyone can win on any given day, that's why the tournament happens. Same reason why they do March Madness in basketball. The best team should win the conference tournament, and if they don't, it's because they fumbled the bag

Every team, player, coach, school, AD and College know the rules and the guidelines for these post-seasons before hand its really damn simple - WIN. You can ***** about this same think all the way to the awarding the championship how come the best rank school in the country has to play the second best for a championship they did the best all season just give them the trophy playoffs are stupid and they scare me.

Think about it for a second the best moments in sports are when the lower seed upsets the top seed that why playoffs exist its fun and exciting. The miracle on Ice, UMBC beating Virginia, any time a FCS school beats one of the big boys in that early season tune up game. NY legalized weed now so go get a pot brownie, relax a bit, and enjoy some great hockey that we are all going to get to watch over the next few weeks.

It’s simple, if your season is over because of a loss in a extraneous PS tournament, then your regular season performance wasn’t good enough.

Might be the dumbest thing I've heard all day.

A 25 game RS ALWAYS means more that a single game.

All this talk about Utica being a "perennial contender" is pretty funny. It's hard to be that when we've only ever contended for a NCAA championship one time. Now between 2020 and this year hopefully we are on track to contending in the NCAA most years but to argue we already have been doing that is just wrong. It should be easy enough for our fans to realize this but I guess some instead prefer to make all our fans sound like fools. Anyway, enough of that as I prefer looking ahead and see sort of a mixed picture. I think we'll beat Wilkes again and if I read that other discussion right we're in the tournament anyway so my real concerns are for what might come after this weekend. A lot of our success this year has been the result of playing very bad teams and yes we're clearly better but if you watch closely it often seems as if we win on talent alone and that's when bad habits develop. I'm also skeptical of this coaching staff stepping up and getting it done when it really matters which is something they've never really done. If you look at our string of playoff disappointments its obvious that the coaching staff has rarely had an answer. Adjustments are slow to happen if they happen at all and we end up getting outplayed in a variety of ways. I do hope none of that happens this year but am I the only fan who is at least a bit worried about our ability to win big games? We haven't proven we're able to do that consistently and I think it's time we start otherwise it might be time to look for a coach that can get it done. This team is way too good to flame out again but if it happens again someone needs to take some blame for a change.
