Prez with the NEHC D2 teams status in question how do you think the NEHC will look for 2017/2018? To leave the league with 8 teams would be attractive for NU allowing them to again schedule some games with NESCAC and New York teams.

With Castleton without a coach any chance Alex Todd with leave Trine U to come back to Castleton to help turn the program around. I would think it would be difficult to attract a new coach when school is about to start. Are assistant college coaches allowed to change jobs during the school year to take a head coaching job?

In my personal opinion (not speaking for Norwich or the men's hockey program), I would love to see the NEHC have eight teams going forward after this season. 16 league games leaves you nine non-league games to play with which as you say opens up opportunities to play more NESCAC, CCC, SUNYAC and ECAC West teams.

This is the final season in the league for Saint Michael's and Saint Anselm.

I can't speak for Castleton or their situation but I'd be shocked if he left the chance to start up a new program in the Midwest (where he is from) to come back to Castleton. But I could be completely wrong.

That would make it 14 league and 11 non-league games.

So we shouldn't trust your statistics?

That would be displeasing to me

So it's Rook Week, which means it's officially the 16-17 school year. Time for a new thread?
