Well thanks for helping this western biased DIII fan decide who to cheer for tomorrow.
I'm liking the "Thugs". ...... Buco beats Beavers.

Buco plays thug hockey. We can argue whether it's right or wrong, but coaches aren't going to vote for that. It's too bad because he is extremely talented, but, IMO, his "demeanor" holds him back.

I wouldn't decline the award if I were the backup goalie..

Points per games are nice, but IMHO it should depend on who you get them against more...

    D. As ECACeastFan alludes to, I've heard Buco's demeanor doesn't exactly sit highly in the minds of every coach.
    E. Norwich won the regular season title.

I know the argument will be Points Per Game and Pelletier's being higher in the amount of games he played, but staying healthy for a whole season should be an accomplishment as well; it's not easy.

Could also have something to do with Buco's demeanor on the ice. He makes a lot of enemies.
It is a "Player of the Year" award, not "Citizen of the Year" award. Crosby has won 2 Hart Trophy's and many in the NHL don't care for him. Buco's PPG was higher overall. Is this award based only on league games or the overall year? Although it sucks to penalize someone who was injured for any amount of time, we are talking about a "Player of the Year" award, not a "Player of the 3/4 Year" award.

Babson team Defense avg 1.65 GA
Amherst team Defense avg 2.12 GA

Curious what your thought process is here. As a UMB fan I've seen Vollmin play a lot of great hockey..
Could go either way. They both could end up being the 1st teamers with Gertsakis dropping to 2nd team too. I simply think I moved Deutsch to first team because his PPG is higher now than Vollmin. Also, not sure we'll see four ECAC East players make First Team All-American either....

In the games I have attended in the West this season, my top four forwards are:
Brothers, Joe Kalisz (Stevens Point), Michael Hill (SNC) and Matthew Thompson (Adrian)..
