Can't believe we haven't posted here since opening night. Had to miss today for the Badger football game. Anything interesting with lineups for the Saturday night game? Buffalo State didn't provide much resistance unfortunately. That's a long trip to take about 30 shots and score no goals on the weekend.

Brown, Connor Bradshaw, Dougherty, Bower and Lidberg all were in the starting lineup for SNC tonite...similar game to Friday nite....SNC with constant pressure in the O zone...Not much of anything from Buff State..no fore check, no neutral zone D, and limited O zone possession time..Northland and Finlandia would give them a very good game and probably win, at least, half of them..
Sounds very likely that SNC will make the return trip to Buffalo next season..

It was nice seeing some of the boys that normally don't get much time get in the game tonight, and I thought they did a good job.
On a side note did any of you SNC fans take note that there were 2 Badger sporting events in Madison today?.. If I remember correctly that was one of the excuses given for the closed game, scrimmage, practice or whatever they called it between SNC and the Badgers due to the fact they could not
staff 2 events in one day.... hmmm?....

nice pick up...maybe they hired part time holiday help
Looks like Buffalo only has 2 goalies on the roster so maybe the coach rested his starting goalie for the weekend knowing his team was going to lose regardless of which goalie played. No use risking injury or unnecessarily exhausting your #1 goalie for these games. Save him for conference play.

He (the #1 goalie - Mike DeLaVergne) was injured during their game in Plattsburgh, I was at the game, on the same end as the goalie and whatever the injury, it was NOT caused from contact with a player, but he has not played since - it appeared to be a hamstring or other strain.

The goalie that they did start performed admirably considering the one sided games. He was peppered all weekend and held up as well as he could. The difference in talent level was way too much to overcome.

Considering I've been doing the football-hockey double annually for about 15 years, I'll testify that was someone just saying whatever came to mind first.
