Ok I can personally confirm this is by no means a rumor, and most definitely not a plan by Cogs.
Jake has a broken ankle he will take things day to day and get through this. And move on with his hockey career whatever that may be.
Thank you for the update and Godspeed.

Temper is one thing you can't get rid of by losing it.
God gave everyone patience-The wise use it.
Trust is like paper - Once crumbled it can never again be perfect.

This is sad news. My family and extended family have very much enjoyed watching him in goal at every home game and even made the trip in 2012 to Lake Placid from about an hour north of Green Bay. He's always done a great job.
You saw what Telfar did when Shackell left the net wide open.
I was standing behind the glass to Shackell's right when Telfer slide across the front of the goal to deflect the SNC shot that was headed for the back of the net..
Great play on his part..

I am awful sorry to hear this. As a fan, it is a pleasure to watch him play his game, and I wish him the best.

Wishing him a healthy recovery, there is never a good time for broken bones....we are rooting for him! And our team!
Ouch. I saw him play a number of times on the video feed and two games live in Lewiston last year - he is an exceptional athlete. I hope he heals quickly and, if it is his desire, he still gets a crack at playing some professional hockey. I have little doubt the Green Knights will rally around their new 'tender....sometimes a little adversity makes the team stronger. That is not to say he won't be missed....
Re: St. Norbert College, 2014-15 - The Drive for Five
Now that we've had some time to let Jake's injury sink in, what are everyone's thoughts on the rest of the season? Are the D men gonna pull it together? Can the Knights count in outscoring their opponents?
Kujava has played well at times and has looked pretty bad other times.
I still see them getting to the Harris cup final. Once there the puck can bounce either way.
Let's pull together as fans, get off our butts, and make some noise.

It would be great if the boys can finish in that 2 spot. If they can go on a 4-game win streak starting Friday, they should be able to pass up LF who has two left with MSOE and Adrian. All we need is a tie in points with LF. That means they just have to drop one of their remaining 4 if we can win out. I would much rather face LF at home than on the road. No guarantees in hockey, but at least the boys know what is needed.
Also…my prayers are with Coach Wick. Yet another reminder of how unimportant hockey can be in the scheme of life.
