Go **** yourself. I've been pretty darn gracious in the past when teams have beaten (and tied) us.

That was the worst officiated game I've seen. And between Ferris, Michigan, and here, I've seen some real bombs. To allow a goal at the buzzer, when the shot was hardly off the stick, let alone near the net, without consulting with the goal judge, or making any attempt to consult with the other official, is borderline criminal. Especially when you tell a coach that the red light went on briefly with the green light. That's not how they're wired, folks. To then, on another controversial call, consult with the same goal judge, and inform him that "I know the ****ing rules" after he asked for the judge's input, is simply unprofessional. And then to not explain to either coach what happened.....

The goal at the end of the 2nd period should not have stood under any circumstances. At that point, we should be 3-3, and after seeing the way things went in the 3rd period, we probably should have seen overtime. From there you let the chips fall where they may. If St. Scholastica wins, then so be it, and we move on. But to have that happen tonight is an absolute travesty. And if anyone else has been screwed like that, I don't blame you one bit for being unhappy. And that's exactly what this was. An epic screw job.

I have no beef with St. Scholastica. They've played us three times this season. All three were very tough games. They've got a very nice program over there. But if they are going to win games, I'd rather they do it without phantom goals and incompetent referees that have proven in the past that they do not belong on the ice with collegiate players at any level. I have no idea what made the NCHA think it was a good idea to send them to any playoff game. And if they had been sent to SNC, I would say the exact same thing.

Gotta root for the favorites now, boys.

Went back and watched it over and over and paused it right as the buzzer sounded. That was a good goal. Even if it goes in after the start of the buzzer, it was by less than 1/10 of a second, certainly not obvious enough for the ref to rule it "no goal". And, let's face it, the HOME timekeeper had to have been slow on the trigger at least once during the period, maybe even quick on the trigger with an CSS offense zone drop on the PP at the end of the period.

        You'll still get in.

I hope we still get in. A win tonight would have cemented it. It's too bad it had to go like this.

Was thinking the same thing. It ain't right...

Today was the only time I saw Trinity all season, but they were unimpressive.

              Edit: Geneseo is winning now!?

I swore the scoreboard on D3hockey had it at 7-6 Geneseo briefly. Either Geneseo had a goal disallowed, or I was seeing things. My bad...

Still gotta like the heads up comparison with Geneseo if you're an Adrian fan.

You likely weren't seeing things. They had GAC up 1-0 on St. Thomas when it was the other way around.

                        And now we're not.

                        St. Norbert 7
                        Adrian 2

Score indicative of the way the game went. Actually, I'll summarize this:

                        1) Ranalli and Basso had nice scoring chances early
                        2) SNC scores first. And second. And.....
                        3) Ice tilts heavily in favor of SNC as the lead builds.
                        4) Adrian takes some dumb penalties, giving SNC even more chances
                        5) Adrian scores to break the shutout, and somewhere in the there adds another one
                        6) Adrian continues to take dumb penalties
                        7) SNC pours in a couple more

There's your game. With the way we played, we got what we deserved tonight.

Thank you to Josh Cousineau and Zack Wilson, who concluded their careers tonight. They are the last link to the original class that started this program, as they were freshmen when the original class were seniors. Thank you for your careers, gentlemen.

Also another thank you to Justin Basso, who I understand will graduate in May and also played his final game tonight.

As for the junior class, and those that have come after them. You've got one shot left next year. Take what you have learned and make the most of it. There's a lesson here to be learned, should you choose to learn from this.

At least our D-3 club team won their 3rd straight national championship this afternoon. So there's that, I guess.

Boy, sometimes some teams just don't seem to match up well with others and I think that must be part of this. Not to take anything away from SNC - because it was a dominating performance tonight - but the Adrian frustrationb tonight was evident

in the 9 periods these two played, Adrian won one period. It's clear they are a better team than that. but SNC has been on a roll and AC clearly struggled of late.

Like the old boxing analogy, styles make fights, I guess.

And no, there's nothing to take away from SNC. Especially with a 7-2 scoreboard.

We had a couple chances early and didn't convert. SNC did, and once they got rolling, boom.

Why not? There's still interest in outdoor games, and teams love the experience. So, who are we to judge?
