They did have a radio broadcast of their game with LU last week.

I originally concurred with this assessment. However, after watching LU play several games this year I don't think they'll be returning to the Harris Cup. They have blown (8) 3rd period leads this year. Last night with Northland was the latest epic collapse.

        Re: Mcha 2012-2013

Quite the last weekend of play we're staring at. In one division:

        1) Adrian - set in stone
        2) MSOE - set in stone
        3-4) LFC/CUW

        In the other division:

        1) Marian - set in stone
        2-3-4) Finlandia/Lawrence/Northland

So, basically, clear as mud. This weekend's games:

        Finlandia-Adrian
        CUW-Marian (home and home)
        LFC-Lawrence (home and home)
        Northland-MSOE

Lake Forest can end CUW's season with 1 win over Lawrence, and they would travel to MSOE for the 1st round.

Concordia would head to MSOE if they sweep Marian, and Lake Forest only nets 1 point or less against Lawrence. Lake Forest's season would then be over.

It is completely possible for Lawrence and Northland to jump over Finlandia by sweeping this weekend, but both can have their seasons ended this weekend as well. I believe Northland holds the tiebreaker over Lawrence by way of total conference wins.

Finlandia can lock up a spot by taking 3 or more points from Adrian this weekend. Stop laughing.

I have the feeling we're not going to know until late Saturday night.

          Part II.

Here is my WAG of what happens. This is guaranteed to be totally wrong.

          Adrian sweeps Finlandia
          MSOE sweeps Northland
LFC takes three points from Lawrence
          CUW and Marian split

That leaves us with, after splitting into two divisions:

          1) Adrian 37
          2) MSOE 28
          3) LFC 18
          4) CUW 14

          and...

          1) Marian 24
          2) Finlandia 14
          3) Lawrence 13
          4) Northland 12

Lake Forest goes to MSOE for round 1.
Lawrence goes to Finlandia for round 1.

          What a *ing mess.

            Re: Mcha 2012-2013

Hammer you're correct regarding Adrian and MSOE sweeping their opponents. However, after LFC beats or ties LU in Appleton Friday night the Marian v. CUW match is moot. The Foresters will take 3rd in the South. The picture will be finalized when LFC wins at home against the hapless Vikings on Saturday.

            MCHA Harris Cup Playins
MSOE v.LFC - the LFC team, lead by Sully, will somehow repeat their 2010 run and upset MSOE.
Northland v. Finlandia- it doesn't matter who wins, because they'll get smacked by Adrian at the Harris Cup.

            MCHA Harris Cup
Marian v. LFC- The magic continues with a great defensive match that results in an OT win for LFC.
Adrian v. ?- Adrian blows past either MCHA appetizer.

            MCHA Championship
Adrian v. LFC- The glass slipper falls off, and superior depth and talent wins out. Adrian packs their bags for the NCAAs.

After briefly looking at things, it's clear the key series is LFC-Lawrence.

I just hope Adrian can quit sleepwalking in time.

Lake Forest will travel to MSOE in the 1st round. Concordia is officially eliminated.

While Finlandia and Lawrence have the upper hand, the other division has all the potential to be an absolute mess after tomorrow's games.

P.S. I told you I was going to be wrong.

Finlandia and Northland have both lost today. Lawrence and Lake Forest started about 30 minutes ago.

Lawrence and LFC tie this evening.

Finlandia & Northland are tied at 14 points apiece, with identical 7-13 league records. Finlandia and Northland split their head-to-head at 2-2. Northland outscored Finlandia 18-17 in those contests. Therefore, I think that we're looking at:

                      Adrian and Marian get byes.
Lake Forest goes to MSOE next weekend.
Lawrence hosts the Northland next weekend.

The MCHA playoffs have usually been pretty predictable.
I'm thinking the home teams will prevail here......but wouldn't be the least bit surprised if mini-games are required.
