Good test for SNC tonight, as UST came out and controlled the majority of the first period.
The Knights played much better in the final 60 minutes and took full advantage of their scoring chances.
Great effort from the Tommies..pushed SNC to the limit.
Back to work on Sat. vs the Gusties.
One more victory and back to LP!!!!

The Tommies were very impressive defensively. Blocked passes, passing lanes, shots, etc. Dominated play in the first period. SNC did a good job to keep the deficit to just one. Once SNC got things going, it was able to capitalize on turnovers and make some plays.

Gusties next!

It wasn't for a man in the crease (the face-off would've been outside the zone). The ref lost sight of the puck.

Your boys did well. They had their chances. I didn't think the game was as lopsided as the announcers made it out to be, and I'm not sold on the 31-17 shot totals announced, either.

I think 31-17 is pretty accurate. Gustavus dominated most of the first and second periods and were throwing everything on net. I can't find a number but I feel like they blocked a ton of shots before the reached "Big John" McLean as well... He wasn't tested often, but he made some phenomenal saves, especially in the third. He could be a cornerstone for the Gusties for the next three years if he continues to improve. The kid has been impressive as freshman. Another thing I noted was the physicality of the Gusties. They're not know as a big hitting team but they were tossing MSOE players all over the ice last night. From what I've read a lot of people think Gustavus can't even touch SNC in the physicality department, but I think they deserve a bit more credit. They were hitting hard and often.
