Seriously, I do pretty much agree with you about the band.

Because this happens to be SLU and Clarkson, and Clarkson is sending their band, it will be strange, but not much you can do.
However, I do think that the band should be there the weekend before classes start.
I also like the idea of supplementing the band with alumni. Things change over the years and maybe it is time to change the model of the band, since it is obvious that they don’t have the same level of commitment as in the past.

Originally posted by Red Cloud View PostWe UNDERSTAND that with women's hockey at D-I, it means more events to attend, which is why we offered to help out. We were turned down, even though alumni bands are fairly common in the CCHA for that exact reason. We offered help and the answer we got was "we got it." Well, apparently not.
I'll go back to eating popcorn.

Until then, I hope you and everyone else enjoys the game tonight and that we destroy Clarkson.
And I should make it clear that I'm not abandoning my argument here, I'm abandoning you.
Wow, this whole pointless conversation has possibly proven ehf right. Maybe these are children we're talking about.Your whining request for a "real discussion" is denied. You don't want a "real discussion," you just want to stop the meanie from pointing out deficiencies and problems.

Nobody? No, that is also wrong. You seem to have an inflated sense of importance and... wait, are you... demanding credit?
I am being asked to excuse an unacceptable situation because of your "clarification." That makes it an excuse.
You're basing all of your excuses on... nothing.
And now, apparently, playing in the band is all about playing in the band, when you feel like it.
And I should make it clear that I'm not abandoning my argument here, I'm abandoning you.

By the way, what you quoted was not criticism. And I have been nothing BUT constructive with my criticism. I wouldn't be criticizing if I didn't care deeply about the band. Yet in your eyes, I'm "just talking ****." That is the root of the problem.
