I wonder if Kasdorf will stay in Manitoba next season or if he'll move over to the BCHL or possibly the USHL. The MJHL doesnt appear to be that strong of a league with only a handful of D1 recruits currently playing.

That was my concern when I first heard of him - "he's playing in Manitoba?" - but the fact that he's from Winnipeg certainly alleviates that considerably, he's simply playing closer to home the way JL is. That said, it would definitely be an advantage if Seth can help get him hooked up in the BCHL next year.

I was thinking the BCHL would be a more likely destination rather then the USHL, considering he would be an import player. I know of at least one team in BC that a current RPI coach has some ties with, its possible he could end up there.

I have been following the recruit threads for upwards of 10 years now, and we have never ever ever recruited this far in advance. In the Fridgen era, we were always behind other schools in signing players and it always seemed like we were playing catch-up. It is great to a get a few solid second and third line players lined up so early (e.g. Wood, Zalewski, Bradley) so we can work on trying to sign the big guns during the prime recruiting season instead of just trying to fill out our class.

Video clips from the Colts game last night. Some nice passing by JL on the powerplay goal and a slick little pass out of the zone to Spink for the shorthanded breakaway goal. (JL is #15 in white)

He would be an import player in BC also, although more allowed than in the USHL.
