Great win for the Badgers hope we can do it tonight. One thing I want to say is the 4th goal should go to Simonelli not Mersch, but what can I do about it.

Anyone else worried about tonight now?

That's a pretty good point and a really solid weekend.

Only regrets are taking the first period off (yet again) and not finishing in OT. We owned OT and this team is scary good when they are fully engaged,

I realize who we played this weekend and that they're not on top of their game, but 3 points at the Mooch is always great.

My expectations for this season are going up by the game. Next weekend should be a good measuring stick.

We should have won tonight and were clearly the better team all weekend.

I mostly agree with this although I'll still say the rats are better than their record indicates.

Craig Johnson's solo rush and *almost* goal was so unexpected I couldn't believe it was #3. too bad he didn't finish. Tyler Barnes had an eye popping move in the 1st (I believe) where he pulled the puck behind his skates to deke a rodent, you could hear the crowd let out a collective "oh" or "wow" on that one but it didn't result in a great scoring chance.

I'm thinking Mersch/Barnes/Zengerle/Simonelli are really easing this transition and UW in my mind now has a definite and GOOD chance to finish top 5 in the WCHA this year. possibly as high as 3rd or 4th depending on what transpires w/DU and UMD.
Everything in its right place, Wisconsin Hockey National Champs!

I'm not saying that the aren't. They're not playing well right now. That's all I meant.

Well, that explains why he's so bitter. Funny thing is he might be the best frosh Minnesota has.

Zengerle has 16 (3-13) points in 8 games. That is just insane. Those are the kind of numbers we all expected Turris to put up. They play alot of games in the BCHL, so I don't think he'll burn out, unless the WCHA is just that more physical than the BCHL.

When will UW fire up the Hobey media blitz?

He's a 21 year old freshman, Turris was 18 and a stick. Looking back at things, I'm not surprised, 1st Star is certainly not disappointing and between him, Barnes and Mersch are EXACTLY what this team needed from some frosh. I wasn't expecting this until the 2011 part of the schedule though.

Can that hobey talk! Way too early.

Im happy with the Badgers taking 3 points from the rodents. Considering they are such a young team, playing in such a hostile environment and having to come back from a deficit twice on Saturday; no complaints here.

I disagree with last night's game. MN came from ahead and tied.

However, WI fought and clawed and never quit, and did deserve the point.

As for MN being better than their record, well, they're better when they actually try. Right now, that record is indicative of their play.

Any thoughts on the goalie decision last night? (What did you think when you heard the decision, not after the game!)

When I heard that Bennett was starting last night, I **** near fell out of my Lucky Bucky Recliner and the Big 10 crew was surprised as well. Obviously, it turned out fine, but holy ****...does Eaves have a set of brass balls?
