We know Seth was chatting with them early last month, and he wouldn't have been wasting his time and theirs if RPI was out. They are '92s -- its certainly possible that they'll head to the BCHL or USHL next year giving their bodies time to catch up with their skills..but I agree with RH that '11 might be best for RPI. In fact, this very discussion might be why they haven't committed anywhere yet. If anything, they are weighing their options carefully -- to their credit.

As much as I love the way RH thinks, size wise, I'm not sure about JL and Spinks as a line.

That has been due to assists and goals having been changed after the fact. I just change it when I notice but don't go back to find out when it happened.

It is no different at other levels. Nick Bailen was originally credited with three assists in RPI's game on Saturday. One was changed later to someone else.
Exactly right, Ralph...this guy is clueless. I've sat at many games (pro and college) where scoring corrections are made after teams come out of the locker room between periods, as well as after games.

Reaching waaaay back (insert bone creaking audio here) to the late eighties when I played collegiate lacrosse, scoring changes occur when a kid who is incorrectly credited with a goal or an assist tells the coach: "I didn't tip it in, Frankie did..."

I don't think we are eliminating the possibility just yet-but we seem to be filling up slots as if we are not holding out for a pair of recruits yet to come. As far as a line of Spink, JL, Spink-you know how I feel about having at least one forward with some size on a line-but i can live with one smaller line-sort of like a smurf line. We had one smaller line in 1985 and we seemed to do OK.

I agree. they are also changed in the USHL by players going in the next day and asking coach to look at film as I should have been credited with an ast. Yes, every game has changes between periods etc after the discuss/review. Thats not what we are talking about you jacka**.

I only said it is 100% bs that only game officials change the stats in USHL.

This is the exact quote I was talking about. It was also not the first time we heard, "another point will be added", days after the game, not minutes. this comment/post is a 100% lie

He was a very solid midfielder (great speed and endurance) but his lacrosse stick skills were average at best- he was not an all world lax player as you alluded to.
Really? He had records for years in Ontario in Lacrosse and had college options. Your full of S***. I have known him for almost 30 years and talk to him probably 20 times a year. Owned a building he had a business in for many years as well. Your full of sh**

Oates played five years of Junior "A" lacrosse for the Etobicoke Eclipse, in which he scored 735 points (regular season & playoffs) in just 130 games. In total of his junior career, he averaged 5.5 points per game. He would win three straight league M.V.P awards from 1981 to 1983. He also played one year of Major Series Lacrosse (Senior "A") for the Brampton Excelsiors, in which he scored 94 points in his rookie season. He would retire from professional lacrosse after the 1984 season to pursue his professional hockey career. He holds the Ontario junior lacrosse record for assists (19), and points (29) in a game.[3]

Yeah, because a no BS guy like Monty is gonna put up with a line of players appealing the official scoring of games...like he has nothing better to do...what a jacque arse you are. If you knew anything about the ops in DBQ, you'd know how sad you sound. Time for your mid-day meds.

Just so long as we don't get caught with opposing teams looking to play a fun game of "Squish the Midget"...

Just like Oates wasnt an elite lacrosse player,. strange how you deleted the posts as soon as you realized your lie was just that, a lie.

I know exactly how the stats are done in the USHL. No different in DBQ. In fairness, they want to make sure their kids get every point they are entitled to as it reflects well on them and enhances college placement, thus the rep of teh elague and kids which leads to more attendance/beer sales etc. the USHL is the best dev league but is also a cash cow for owners.

You are right about one thing, it is not a "LINE" of players

Of course the teams change the stats after the fact and the game officials have zero to do with it. ZERO

I think that next season we'll be able to play that game ourselves.

Look, I'm an RPI homer and am not trying to run down Oatsie. This is my last comment...and I of course regret engaging your bile-filled posts.

If you could think clearly through your medicated haze, you'd know that Box lacrosse (Etobicoke, Brampton) and field lacrosse are two very different games. Some kids make the jump very successfully to field/D1 lax, others don't.

The fact is that on a field full of D1 players when Oates played in the Mohawk Summer League in Albany, NY- he was an average player.
He does deserve the benefit of the doubt from me as he had solely played hockey for a few years. My bad.

What you should have written was he was a talented "all-world" box lacrosse player.

So which is it? The teams desire for stat accuracy? Or was it that one selfish kid on a mission to promote himself forsaking his poor team mates, all of whom hate him and wish ill on him and his offspring?...

FWIW, to be fair Tyson is listed at 5'10" 185lbs and Tylor at 5'10" 178lbs. Similar in size to current Engineers Malchuk, Helfrich and AAG and JL is similar in size to Polacek, minus a few lbs.
