It looks like a case of a hometown player getting it over a visitor with better stats. That seems to happen often. JL has also benefited by from that in games at Cornwall.

An article about the Cornwall's weekend games http://www.standard-freeholder.com/A...aspx?e=2835334. Nothing new, but JL is mentioned often.

Since when is JL being mentioned often new?

New CJHL Snapshot feature on the Spinks. No mention of colleges, just some talk about the WJAC.

Saw this in the Wisconsin thread:

...John Keeney was a kid I thought we might look at from Omaha, he's having a great season but we aren't going in that direction. He looks like an RPI lean with CC and Quinnipiac in the picture.

He looks like he would be a good catch although I always find it hard to tell how good a goalie is purely by stats. He won what I think is the team PotM award for October http://www.lancers.com/leagues/roste...&teamid=271367.

John Keeney website http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams...=hockey&p=home with awards and other material. Can someone tell me who is singing "Johnny Be Good"? It doesn't sound at all like Chuck Berry.

He's also a '93 which means he could come in next year if needed but in all likelihood would be a 2012 recruit. Hope we can get this kid! Seems like Izyk (if were still interested) could take over Merriams roster spot in 2013.

I had the same thought that he could come either next year or in 2012. These days that seems to be an important consideration when recruiting.

Jenny and I agree-this is either a very young Chuck Berry(which we doubt0 or someone else. We have the original London Chess Sessions recordings and it does not sound like that at all.

Their mullets are growing in well...sure would be a nice holiday present if they were to give Seth the nod.

Unfortunately I don't think Seth really likes the mullet, at least given that most of the players butch it by the start of sophomore year.

It says Chuck Berry right on the page but I'm not convinced...Chuck has a very particular twang in his voice...and it's a bit more 'craggy'

Do you think that 17-year olds knows what Chuck Berry sounds like? I suspect that it is someone else covering the song. (Actually, I am more interested in how well he keeps the puck out of the net. )

BTW, have you seen him play on any visit to the USHL?
