I like both of those sites.

South of Global Village must mean on top of Southern Riverknoll, as I doubt they'd put it on top of S lot or the Greek housing. Build a parking garage on S lot and you solve the lack of parking issue for the campus too. Plus, Global Village turns even more into a hub--the college town Park Point fails to be.

Building between GFH and the Ritter would keep most of the sports clustered together still, which is nice, and it would shelter that bridge from icy crosswinds. Building there would mean we could keep the U [SUCK] lot announcements, though U lot would also benefit from becoming U ramp. Having the two ice rinks near each other would probably be nice for people using them, too, as you could more easily move between them. Also, they could build on top of the new locker rooms, effectively building onto Ritter Arena--hey, maybe they could even keep the Ritter name, then, and just have two different names for the rinks inside!

rit will not be building onto ritter arena, too costly.. besides if you build the new arena across the street from D lot, both buildings will be close enough together and also take advantage of being close for either the apt or dorm students to go to the games and all the parking lots there to help with the parking for those in the community..

Not building on to expand that rink, but butting the walls right up next to each other, like what the fieldhouse did to the existing gym. Leave the current rink as-is, just build around it.

Got your point. that is not going to work out, especially since the area around ritter is parking lots, and rit is not going to even consider doing that. Destler even noted that multiple sites have been looked at and I highly doubt he is willing to do what you proposed..its either going to be in 3 or 4 areas and will most likely be a stand alone facility.

I say they've had enough playing time already. Now lets focus on getting wins.

i believe we do have room but it is not the most feasible spot. I think the best spot is the area across from D lot and next to the practice fields.. as mentioned already its perfect with all the parking across the street and enough space to accommodate the arena, maybe add a skywalk from 1 of buildings to the arena to help with pedestrian movement

Maybe, although they may need to add more parking since more people will be able to go to games.

Nice to see that RIT wanted it tonight. There was a definite hustle on the ice and I was impressed with Eck and Burt tonight. Madolora stopped all of the shots he was supposed to and then some. There were no soft goals on RIT tonight. I think that Madolora ought to be our starter. I think that the #1 spot was Jan's to lose and that he's lost it. Of course, we'll have to see how Jan does tomorrow (is he scheduled to start?).

Going into the season, coach seemed to hint in various previews that the job was actually Shane's to lose. His being injured and not able to play opening weekend helped open it up for Jan and Josh - and both had solid games.

I do think that Madolora will get the majority of starts as the numbers just add up for him to get there.

An RIT win tonight coupled with a Niagara loss or tie puts the Tigers into first place in the conference!

RIT can't catch up to Robert Morris's 16 points this weekend. (RIT currently has 13 points.) Also, Niagara doesn't play any conference games this weekend. Maybe I'm misreading your post?

Great win by the Tigers last night! Let's do it again tonight!

rit is currently in 3rd as Niagara and canisius are tied for 2nd with 14, RMU in 1st has 16 so RIT has the chance to jump into 2nd if they win tonight and NU and Canisius lose any conference games tonight

Ahhh, you're right, it's a non-conference game so that rules first place tonight.

It good to see them climbing to the top though, just got to keep playing hard the rest of the way.

Want to see RIT in first place ... go to standings and click twice on "Win %" to re-sort the standings. A win tonight will keep the Tigers there.

Didn't have to click on anything to make them #1 here
