I'm as comfortable with Dubra as any name brand...pubs are more our thing (it's a little known fact that the most compelling factor in our decision to choose RPI for the B.R.O. was the food and suds at the Knotty! ).

I've never been in a casino so this could be interesting...like you I wouldn't gamble but I like to watch people at Grand Central and airports so that's fine with me...

Well, I wouldn't mind showing or even teaching. When we went to the GLI, there were a few people in our group watching me shoot craps. Granted I had only broke even, but was betting enough for people to get a good grasp of the game.

You're on...be careful not to create a monster! I still don't know when the event is!

You can try this site-for information. I got my tickets through Ticketron.

Ketel is OK but Van Gogh, Chopin, Belvedere and Ultimat would be better (although harder to find).

Come with me and Jenny to the Baccarat table and we can act like James Bond in Dr. No. We tend to either play there or sit at the Roulette tables. There seems to be a certain elegance at those locations(reminds us of Monte Carlo).

Fri/Sat March 18-19, 2011, Boardwalk Hall, Atl. City. The building hasn't held a hockey game since the ECHL left in 2005. Last report was that the roof was leaking for the A10 bouncy ball tourney this spring. Here's hoping the ECAC has enough sense to bring their own ice guru for the event...and maybe a roofing contractor...

I'll have to take your word Doc as I'm not much of a vodka connoisseur, but I did recently have a particularly memorable apres-ski in Aspen thanks to a few lovely lady friends who fed me A LOT of that they were calling "water"...which I soon learned was Ketel. Oh, the memories...

I agree..there have been a few articles about the con spirit makers pull on consumers...85% marketing, 15% product. But then again, that's true of a lot of things.

Glad to hear it about the Notty...it sure isn't fancy, but its got plenty of history and "patina". I just wanted to make sure you and Doc have the necessary ingredients for a successful outing.
