How about that #1 team in the country eh boys?

9 players with double points. Miele with 4 assists.

No title hangover, get home and rest up boys, UNO is waiting.

No letdown this week. UNO in town next weekend and they are trying to sweep the Wolverkitties right now.

Lot of ugliness. We appear to have VERY short fuses (including Rico) right now. I think things should settle down after another week passes. But, the emotion is certainly being turned into goals!

Wideman's shorthanded goal was set up by not one, but two spin-o-ramas. First Palmer, then Miele, and Wideman was wide open to walk down the slot. Sick stuff.

Just got back down to Oxford, another great showing on the road by the Miami faithful tonight. Hopefully the momentum carries onto UNO next week and we can keep up this offensive tear.

I just love how well balanced our team is. Any player on any line can score at any time. Nine different players with at least two points this last game, that is just crazy. Four players with 30+ points, 6 with 20+, 10 with 10+ and everyone on the team that has played has scored at least 1 point including Reichard and Knapp. Hopefully this offensive explosion can continue.

Already looking forward to next week versus UNO. Go Hawks!

Yea I see and understand why emotions are high, but you have to try and control it. You can't get a DQ like hirsch did and miss a big series next weekend. UNO is playing wonderful hockey right now and dismantled Mich this weekend. UNO can get the #2 seed if they keep winning. I love the offensive output that they have shown the last two weekends and a lot of guys are getting involved. I hope they can keep it going and stay this hot into the play offs!

side note, one of the most classic moves I have ever seen with Rico bowing after getting tossed lol.

We couldn't see it from our seats but judging from the Miami fans reactions it was pretty epic. Have to keep an eye out to see if a video of it pops up.

Not about a letdown, but more concerned about peaking too soon! Gotta have something to worry about, right?

Oh, and Dave Starman thinks that because we've dismantled the CCHA this year that maybe we won't do well when we play the "big boys." Um, Dave, we are a big boy and did you see our first half schedule?

Well they really have only had it flying for a week now, so hard to say. Could argue that they are getting things going at the right time in mid february.

Starman is just like the rest of them, for some reason there are a lot of doubters out there. Screw them all, this team is focused. It will all work itself out, they were doubters last year as well. Gladdy over at inch.com is a hater as well, but he also thinks the ECAC is one of the top conferences in the country and Union is a top tier team. Not sure what else this team can do to get respect from people besides winning it all and maybe thats what they will have to do because few people respect them. Yes a lot acknowledge they are very good, but you can tell by their analysis of them they don't respect what they have done.

Just keep winning is all you can do, another big test this weekend. Seems like we have said that a lot this year, but we haven't played well against the big boys...

so what do the "big boys" become when they don't play well against the "big boys"?
                      Long live the "Brotherhood"!!!!!

Giving up a home run in Great American Ballpark is kind of like walking into a chocolate factory and yelling "I WANNA BE FAT!!!"

It's going to happen. Just give it time.....and a little effort.

They become Notre Dame or Michigan

Seriously is crazy to see them having those down years with the amount of talent both teams have.

They are just following in the winning tradition laid down by their football teams the last two years.

Whoa! I don't enjoy that theory whatsoever! If we applied that transitory effect to Miami hockey from Miami football... We would be a 3 win hockey team.

Haha, well our lovely RedHawk football team has been about playing to expectations while ND and UM have redefined underachieving relative to their talent levels. So we will say that its not applicable to us

Football threadjack for a moment, but playing in the MAC, my expectations are winning that joke of a league every year, so in that sense, they have missed my mark badly.
