They are just giving these points away. They are just going to have to forget about it though. Next weekend is going to be 2 very tough games against a wisconsin team that can SCORE.

They did a good job without VV in the lineup but und really missed him in those last 2 minutes. When they need to close out a game i would love to see VV Malone and Zajac on the ice for the last minute. Those 3 should be able to kill like 12 minutes just by playing with the puck along the wall.

They have to put that behind them. Right now. UW looks good, but they are in our house. Hak will have them ready, no matter who's in the lineup.

Once again another disappointing game by the Sioux. Pretty much outplayed UMD the whole weekend IMO. This Saturday game should've been a W for the UND no excuses for choking a 2 goal lead once again. Even though the puck should've been called dead on UMD's game-tying goal since it hit the netting above the glass behind the goalie.

Still not an excuse for losing this game.

This will bring out the character of this team. UW always, yes, plays us tough here. Let's come out and bang 'em.

Well, that's pretty much how I feel right now. They have a tie and a loss in the last two games when leading by 2 goals going into the 3rd. This team needs to learn how to finish those games. Of course it wouldn't hurt to have Genoway and VV in the lineup.

I concur. They are the youngest team in the league, though.

Shake it off boys!!!!!! sounded like they played hard all weekend long .... thats the WCHA for you there is nothing for sure until the final horn blows.... this will help come march and april with losses like these.. giving up late leads.. time to buckle down and return home for another tough test with wisc. next weekend !!!!!!

Exactly. Not 58.5 minutes. It's a learning process. We'll find out what kind of team we got next weekend with UW.

Hopefully the team can get back on track with a strong UW team coming to REA next weekend.

This young team has had some tough losses early in the season, but they are still sitting better in the early going compared to the past few years.

Sounds like the team really missed VV on the faceoffs last night. Rowney, the replacement for VV as center on the top line, went 1-12 on faceoffs. Ouch. To be fair to Carter, he hadn't played center all season until last night.

Kristo has really turned up his play recently. We heard a lot about his potential prior to his arrival at UND, and he is certainly starting to show it the last few weeks.

He is now leading the WCHA in points for freshmen (for all games):

1 Danny Kristo North Dakota F 16 0.88 5- 9-14
2 Rylan Schwartz Colorado College F 16 0.81 4- 9-13
3 Craig Smith Wisconsin F 14 0.86 2-10-12
4 Steven Seigo Michigan Tech D 14 0.71 1- 9-10
5 William Rapuzzi Colorado College F 14 0.64 6- 3- 9
Dylan Olsen Minnesota Duluth D 14 0.64 0- 9- 9

Coming in to the season, he wasn't given a single vote for preseason ROTY:

ROY: Mike Lee, SCSU (5); Nick Leddy, Minnesota (2); Dylan Olsen, Duluth (2); Matt Donovan, Denver (1)

Lee got most of the votes, but he has been outplayed by CC frosh goalie Joe Howe to this point.
Leddy got 2 votes, but with his injury has only played in 7 games and has 1 point. Aaron Dell has the same number of points as Leddy (in 5 less games played) as a goalie!

If Kristo can keep playing well, he could definitely be a challenger for ROTY. He will miss a couple games for the WJC though...
