BU is in 3 tournaments The Icebreaker, Shillelagh and Beanpot but I think the Icebreaker is exempt from the 34 game count. They'll be my guess.

You know, when the entire athletic department has been hemorrhaging money over the last 4-6 years due to continued budget cuts from the university administration, seeing tweets like this one and this one make me just a little bit stabby.

Why is the university administration funding scholarships for club sports when there are varsity programs that could desperately use that money?

Correct me if I'm wrong... but by rule, those scholarships can not be athletic scholarships, right?

They can be academic scholarships or "other financial aid"??? But by the letter of the law, NOT athletic?

I was always under the assumption that club sports were basically playing under the same rules as a D-III school, minus Athletic Department funding.

The Terriers are expected to release their 2010-11 schedule on June 23, according to a source in the athletic department.

That's my understanding as well. At UAH, you can put pretty good bounds, though, on who is eligible / gets preference on those scholarships.

So Coach Cole is now leaving, too. What next? This is just beyond depressing. Is there really a future for our Chargers? Can't blame him for taking the Developmental team position, but I can blame the !@#$%^ CCHA even more now for in essence letting down our wonderful hockey program. FEH!

You know, if Danton had taken any of the various college jobs that came available this offseason, I would have been upset. I'm not upset that he took the NTDP job, though. That's one of those jobs that you just can't turn down.
