Sorry for the delay, I don't get over here much, but do always try to peek in on the PWR thread to see if I can help...

Losing 2 with the second opponent as Brown instead of Cornell would cause Union's RPI to plummet. It's then possible to get St Lawrence's RPI high enough to take Union's TUC spot. Lots of other little things do have to go just right -- it's a relatively small branch of the outcome tree, about 1 in 1800 outcomes. However, it's cakewalk compared to trying to get Union up to #11

        Here's a sample scenario:

Maine at #11 is one of the rarest outcomes -- there are only about 10 possible permutations of finishes that result in that. I also posted one of those at the above link.

(If you see any mistakes, pointing them out over there will get a quicker response).

Yeah, I managed to get Union out but I wasn't able to get Maine up to 11.

So, next season you're going to have a PWR predictor tool up in January, right?

I feel kind of like the guys who came out with the five blade razor after the SNL skit, in that I'm not supposed to respond to that seriously, but I have actually been working a lot on the question of useful predictions in January...

Obviously having people fill out a form of game outcomes becomes even more ridiculous (after seeing how many possible scenarios people miss with just about 19 games remaining), but I've found that probability distribution charts convey the overall possibilities pretty well.

e.g., something like UND's predicted end of season PWR as of Feb. 10

Within any given week you can tighten that up a lot and say "ranking will be x if these 3 things happen", etc..., but I haven't figured out a way to sensibly convey that detail over a longer period. I am always trying to figure out improvements, so suggestions/ideas are certainly welcome.

Just because the tunnel is under the buildings doesn't mean it's not in the city.

Yes. Now that you know that, the mole people will be coming to collect your soul. That goes for the rest of you who just read this too.

It's different due to a player/goon named Aaron Marvin who has a tendency if taking out the opponent's best player. Yes you get a first round win, at what cost?

Union wouldn't be involved, so the game would end after a while.
