You're right about that. If UAH is serious about joining the CCHA and I were Jim Harris, I'd take April on a two week vacation visiting the AD's of each CCHA school to personally make my pitch, beg for their help, and get a face-to-face up-or-down on their help/vote. Meeting in a conference environment would not have anywhere near the effect of individual campus visits. The result would probably be a great investment of time that could put the issue to rest one way or another. If it's truly close, he could possibly even get advice from the yea's on how to convert the nay's.

One of the problems with the ramblings here is the fact that some people actually think that anything written here actually has any influence. Everyone would do well to remind themselves regularly that this is primarily an entertainment/fellowship venue that few decision makers have ever visited.

Well I'm thankful it's just your opinion and no one that really matters.

You tagged the "elite" responsible for your situation and for continuing to be part of the problem if they didn't step up and prop your campaign.
You tagged our lesser budgeted schools for your situation especially because, well, there isn't really an economic issue they are dealing with.
You accused them of geographical bigoting.

Yeah, those were all realistic points.

You may just as well ask for a government handout, because you've used up any goodwill here.

I'm always surprised at the number of coaches who read these boards, actually.

Seriously, how many coaches would actually admit they waste their precious time on the USCHO message bored?
Slap Shot - 444 might want to consider a restraining order.
dggoddard - Minnesota is THE ELITE Program in all of college hockey.
wasmania - you have to be the very best to get ice time with the great gophers!
