(though i'll give the bc-umass audience draw [stop laughing] an outside chance)

Re: #3 BU hosts #6 Merrimack -- a week of Hokydad!
While BU has obviously been an enigma this season, as the old cliche goes the season begins anew come playoff time, so I want to see them go in for the kill this series. Not like the NU game on Agganis on Friday, which was far closer than it should have been given the stakes involved. Nobody in league is that great this year, so an upset run to the title isn't out of question, unless they decide to half @ ss it as they have a lot this season. No offense to the 'Mac, but this is about as favorable a match up as we were going to get.

there is an old school diner on that main road across from the airport that is pretty decent. big breakfast available all day for short money. that's almost worth making a trip.
Also, I think it's safe to say Dysart's is a long-time local favorite.
You know you go to UMaine if...
...you think Bananas is a good name for a giant bear.
...you would riot after hockey games but its too darn cold.
...you think hockey is the only sport that matters.
...you hate UNH.

Funny, but I was thinking the same was true from a Merrimack perspective. The Warriors DO NOT matchup well with BC (way too much speed) nor with UNH. Maine might have been a good matchup (goalie situation is a mess up in Orono) and the Black Bears skidded into home ice.
This is not the BU powerhouse of old. Remember, the Terriers only finshed 2 points above MC in the standings. I think the Warriors can take advantage of BU's "offensive D" and end up with some odd man rushes. BU has more scoring balance, but if Cannata is on (last BC game notwithstanding) I like MC's chances. Let's have a repeat of '98 - 'Mack in 3 games.

As you point out, BU is not the powerhouse of "old" (or even last year) and only finished 2 points ahead of Merrimack, not 30 as they did in 1998). Also, with the Warriors beating the Terriers this year and scoring
14 goals in 3 games I think BU will be ready for Merrimack.
Yeah, Parker changed today's to 11 am without telling anyone, so we missed it.
