You're missing my implication which was to plant yet another "chip on our shoulder" conspiracy theory into the inner-workings of the Michigan-based CCHA.

That was my only point. It's usually much emptier for the early game for all those reasons.

Never said or implied it was an "excuse" and it affected both teams equally. I notice your "high level" interperts as "vague", not NHL. If I was upset about it I wouldn't have congratulated Miami and wished them well the rest of their season.

Enjoy the golf course, I don't feel the need to come on to a message board and brag about my experience like you feel you need to. Go somewhere else and brag away, or bug someone who actually cares....

To quote: boooowhoooo! Then if you don't feel the need then quit replying. LOL! Again, good luck to Miami on hopefully 2 trips to Detroit before the season ends.

I understand, Buckeye fan that you are, that your two favorite teams are always Ohio St. and whoever is playing Michigan. Thanks for the well wishes this weekend and beyond. I personally have been waiting for over 30 years for a Redskin/Redhawk national title.

Miami has played in several hostile environtments over the last two years. And Friday at the Joe won't be worse than their two game set at the Yost earlier in the year. The move in merely for TV purposes, and it should be. Mainly because the Big 10 network probably doesn't want to show two non big 10 schools....
The environment will be fine if Miami scores. Notre Dame was down last year and it didn't kill them. Just put some pucks in and 80% of the crowd noise will disappear.

Wonder if either of your assistants are applying at Ohio State for the opening? What are the Miami fans thoughts?

Could see Bergeron before Brekke only because I think Brekke might apply first to Western, his alma mater. Then again, Bergeron is a Miami alum. He might wait for another opportunity rather than make the jump to our in-state rival.

No doubt Brekke will apply to western. I don't think Berg would want a job like OSU. Not enough support from the administration and too big of a school. Also not sure if Berg is ready to leave Miami, meaning not sure he wants to leave. He has a great gig coaching a top tier program with his good buddy.

Agreed, but I think he'd look closely at OSU, if given the chance. He's making, what, $50,000 now? He'd triple his salary in a heartbeat. Taking care of your family has to come first.

True- but money isnt an issue. He was extremely smart financially with the pro contracts he had.

Outstanding! What time are you getting up there? We're probably leaving around noon but not exactly certain.
