First row of the balcony is best sight line in hockey East.

    • I've always enjoyed catching games at Matthews over the years but I'll be glad when we no longer play there. That place has been a legit house of horrors for Maine for the last 10+ years.

0-14-1 record in their last 15 games there and haven't won there since 2/25/12. Haven't had a road sweep at Matthews since Ben Bishop was still here.

Optimistic they shake that monkey off their back this weekend and get at least one win. Anything beyond that is a nice bonus!

      • Harrison Scott is the Hockey East Player of the Week : https://goblackbears.com/news/2024/1...-the-week.aspx

5 assists against Quinnipiac. I think they were all first assists too.

Best hockey seats in the world are front row balcony at Matthews. On a blue line if possible.

          • The section(s) that got closed off last year at mathews due to the foundation structural issues makes it smaller too. It might be the visiting team end, dog pound??

I liked when Scott said something like “when I was a kid dreaming about playing college hockey it was this, this is it, and I am so thankful”. Us fans are thankful to have him too. He’s a good kid.

NU shoots twice in front of the dog pound(sections 42-48). The closed end is where Maine shoots twice(31-34 & 56-58). Last year I thought the visiting section was 25 and 26. I sat down there and it was where there was a big concentration of Maine fans it seemed. That was at the end Maine shot at twice.

                • So let's discuss. Can we win one and break the curse?

                  • I have an extra ticket for both nights @ Northeastern if someone is looking for a ticket. Front row seats in section 14. Send me a message if interested.

Breazeale and Scott are just super examples of what Barr can do for recruiting and building a team. Bringing in great guys, players that fit in with just awesome leadership skills. Giving the players whats needed to continually elevate their game.
Its absolutely amazing where this program is after 3 seasons with Barr. Hope he really likes it here.

                        • So looking at tickets for 11/22 @ UNH and 1/11 @ Lowell games for tickets. Plenty at Tsongas but the Whit is sold out. Can get them on the secondary markets though, but what sections are Maine fans generally in? Looks like sections 108-112 are the students and that’s where most for sale are located….and I’d prefer a different spot.

My experience is that Maine fans are usually dispersed throughout the arena, however, a significant number (myself included) usually gets seats behind or around the Maine bench (i.e. sections 103, 104, & 105).

You might want to call UNH. I looked like a month ago and half the tickets were available then. They obviously aren’t for sale right now but I doubt they sold all of them.
