Taunting of fans/students was a regular occurrence. Hey, it’s a big historical rivalry and it’s heating up again (sort of). Maine definitely has a much improved team in the last couple of years, but the Friday win was only Maine’s 2nd in 12 games against BU and the tying goal and resulting scoreless overtime prevented Maine from securing their first 2 game sweep at Alfond since 1997. It would have been fairly significant if Maine secured the 2 regulation wins, but they didn’t. It was tied in the closing seconds which hurts quite a bit and BU got the important extra point in the shootout. It’s college hockey and over-celebrating (especially towards the student sections) is part of it in rivalry games.
It was easy to hate Parkha, but we're finding ways to vilify Pandolfo right now.
A little hate between brothers is a beautiful and natural sort of thing. I've actually rooted for BU in the PS many times in the past, but I hope I don't have to stoop to that level this season.

Same reason he was chasing official in between periods.
With an example like that one would wonder what effect it has on his players.
Oh wait, his team leads the country in penalty minutes.

I found some from what appears to be a BU fans perspective if you all are interested:

Favorite Maine memory: I went up to Orono in 1993 when we pinned the one loss on them. I had on a BU sweatshirt and I'd like to think that I was cheering politely. Between periods, a Maine fan who had to be in his 70's waddled up to me as I was waiting to buy a coke. I was expecting some good hockey talk, perhaps some friendly teasing. Instead, his face contorted and he barked "how did YOU get tickets?" I responded that I bought them back in Boston. He then said "there are MAINE people who should be in your seats." He then turned and walked away without a trace of kidding. Well, then, howdy stranger, welcome to Vacationland!

Ooooh! I was there for a game in the 90s sitting in the seats BU got for visiting fans in the last row that were under the balcony. During the game, a BU player got hurt at the other end of the ice. Couldn't see so I stood on bench to see what was happening during the stoppage in play and a Maine fan that was standing behind me grabbed my jacket and pushed me off the seat. Very welcoming indeed!
