Let me clear with you. 1) I was responding to WS (whose opinions have been spot on IMO) about the future of the program. Wasn't interacting with you. 2) You put me on blast and didn't like that I went back at you (Take it as good as you give). Again, for you to question my allegiance to the Cherry and White is absurd and offensive to me. I was a long-time season tix holder, went to every golf tourney and brought at least two foursomes with me. Troyboy and I went to every year end banquet (which I don't believe they do anymore.). I developed a specialty game with the previous coach and spent countless hours working on it and publicizing in the community. Been in every ECAC rink. TB and I won the bid to travel with the team on a couple of occasions (no small chunk of change), etc. etc. 4) I didn't post for a long time in deference to the present staff but it is my right as fan to call this out. It's born out in the Ws/Ls. And your damn right I call posters out on the Barr miscue and their defense of this hire. Because if we whiff again, it could be an extinction event for the program. As we approach Passover and Easter, my best to you and your loved ones.

I’ll be rooting for the Engineers tonight. And if the season ends tonight, I trust (like we all seem to) in Dr Bowers and Marty to make the correct decisions for the program. The book on them has been excellent respectively, and I have full faith they are moving athletics in the right direction

I also literally provided analytics as to why Watson’s numbers indicate he perform right around average or slightly above. Big fan of his. Was awesome freshman yr. Said that he isn’t going to get offers to start in Hockey east. Isn’t crap talking it’s the truth, and I think he’s good enough that we can win with him.

With the feasibility study of HFH and a new AD, as some of us have discussed this could be an opportunity for a fresh start. Also, besides the known departures, I'm not very confident that Muzzati and Watson stay. It would give a new regime the ability to configure a roster from scratch. We are risking even more irrelevance if we continue down this path. The ball is firmly in Bowers lap. I was struck again last night by the disparity in SOG and Face off outcomes.

He has legit speed and skill, but as has been agonizingly well documented on this forum, he has a keen knack for taking bad penalties in bad areas at bad moments in games. His situational intelligence needs an extreme makeover.

That said, the last half of your final sentence lays out the ultimate question... "assuming the retention is there." In today's portal reality, that isn't an assumption I can make. Nine of will know what the roster will look like until 5 or so months from now.

If he could amend his game in the situational intelligence department, he'd be a clear cut star. The last half of your last sentence is the critical question... "assuming the retention is there." This day in age, that is not an assumption I'm willing to make, sadly.
We do realize this "core" has lost 20 games some of them multiple times and have the distinction of finishing dead last this year evidently I'm missing something because the light at the end of the tunnel seems to me to be an oncoming train !

The person who usually posts the ECAC non-travel partner schedule isn't posting it at this time. He did post Cornell's ECAC schedule, so we know that

    RPI @ Cornell Fri. 2/7/25
Cornell @ RPI Sat, 3/1/25 (probably Senior Day)

We thus also know the Colgate games.

. It’s called a fan forum for fans to express their opinions about their favorite team. If I say this coaching staff sucks that’s my opinion. If I throw a dog a bone I don’t need to know if it tastes good or not. My opinion is based on me being a hockey fan sounds like your opinion is based on having ties to the program. What’s wrong are you offended by the truth. Although the numbers support my opinion. Wouldn’t you say mister I lose 70% of my games

Huge playoff series this weekend between RPI and Qpac. Qpac is the easy favorite, with an RPI victory being an even larger upset than the upset last weekend against Clarkson, with http://www.playoffstatus.com/ecachoc...easonprob.html giving RPI a 2% chance of moving on. On top of that, if we did win even once, it would be our first win at Qpac since 2010. If RPI plays at their best hockey of the season, and with a little bit of luck, RPI can certainly do it. They just can't give up too many chances to Qpac, and Watson or whoever we have in net needs to play at their best.

I also think it will be interesting how Qpac plays this one. While I didn't watch the Clarkson game, looking at the score RPI clearly capitalized early on an overly confident Clarkson team. By the time Clarkson figured out what hit them, it was too late. Qpac should be confident going into this weekend, but overconfidence kills that cat (no pun intended).

At the end of the day, it is a massive uphill battle for RPI. That's not to say they can't do it. If RPI wins, it would be a greater upset than RPI vs. Clarkson round one, and with the rest of the remaining ECAC being worse than Qpac while also being close in skill to each other, it would proabably be this season's biggest upset in the men's ECAC playoffs.

Lee is a decent player who has terrible situational awareness that leads to unnecessary penalties like you mentioned. I’m not a fan of his play and he often takes dirty shots at opposing players. I’m all for playing with an edge but he seems to cross the line more often than not. If he was scoring more then I guess you could put up with the dumb penalties but he has 11 point this year. I know he was injured a lot this year but he seems to be injured frequently. I think we could find more offense and less penalties in the portal to be honest.
I’m curious who coming back. I’m also curious what coaches are coming back. I don’t think the coaching staff will look the same next year.
