  • Glad to see you here JB. It's a fair line of thinking. I'm kind of with Chuck on this game and while I'd love a W I'd just as soon see them
beat Yukon soundly, both home and away. Esp away since I scored a hard to get ticket there and have certain expectations...

UNH has a lot to prove these next few and if I'm being honest I'd rather see them play well and see where the chips fall. They are bound to
pick up some W's doing that. If they bring their Army game they can forget it. Also, as a side note it will be interesting to see how a team like NU fares the rest of the way.
They looked pretty good last night v BU. My thinking is if that team picks it up from there and thrives despite a lousy start that says something. We have
to win some big games, and, need to do it consistently.

Sure BU has stats that are impressive and some great players there is no doubt of that. They should go pretty deep this season. Looking for
some thoughts from you all after we play them. Feeling like Snively in that the game will prob be a 5-1, 4-2 type of event. Especially if we run into
penalties...and our 3-4-0 record with away games is what it is.

Who's the real UNH? We'll find out tho I think we already have a pretty good idea I mean, its been what, 17 games in?

    Dang, is it Saturday yet???
I'm just here for the hockey...

It is early January there is still plenty of time for the wheels to fall off.

I think we've seen what UNH is capable of was more to my point. At least they were able to string 3 good games after the Army loss (yeah, I know
the competition wasn't BU no offense to Princeton/SHU fans) which I think, was heartening.

I get the 'shell shock' UNH veteran fans have esp. with the second half of the season looming, and the disappointments of the past. I'm just
hoping that the wheels stay on- it's about time they did.

          • Just as a friendly PSA to my misguided-but-still-lovable, Democrat-voting NH folks on this thread ... as you may have heard, the NH Primary is coming up week after next (Tuesday January 23rd). With that in mind ... the DNC mothership located down in the swamps of DC has issued an important message to you guys regarding your participation ... in short, never mind, it's "meaningless", so just don't bother, OK?!?

Don't shoot the messenger, please. FWIW, this sure is an interesting, unique approach to "saving our democracy" LOL!!

This PSA has been brought to you by the kind folks at WIS in Effingwoods NH. We return you to D-1 hockey discussion ...

            • Glad to watch the 2 wins over Princeton on ESPN+. I know they had the top power play, but it'd be nice to stay out of the box if you know that. The penalty kill didn't shut down that elite power play unit. A bit concerning but they overcame it.

They (Princeton) went 3 for 3 and that is/was concerning. Fortunately UNH shut down the next two on Saturday. They will have their hands more than full with
the BU unit...I will say what bothered me about that was they (Princeton) scored pretty much on the same exact play both nights (I called it the 'Ovechkin' shot).

Things that make you go hmmm....

                    • So NCAA Hockey posted social media question this morning asking "What team has your favorite sweaters in NCAA Hockey"? Out of more than 100 responses, guess how many picked UNH? Zero, nada, zip! I know some people feel this is a non-issue, but I for one think its time for a refresh. The old school block letter arched UNH was much better than the current cutesy font being used.

As for weekend prediction, UNH loses 5-2.

Could not agree more regarding the hockey jersey font. Have hated that fatty NASCAR thing since the day it showed up. They ruined a strong, classic look. Bring back the classic, arched UNH. One roadblock, however, is that the fatty NASCAR font is planted on all UNH team unis and logos. That's makes it a tough one $$ to undo... Anybody remember when the font/logo change took place? I want to say the 1999-2000 season +/-...

Orwell did foresee the folks in power in 1984 would work overtime to create their own brand new language to advance their nefarious purposes. One only needs to look at today's MSM, the unhinged world of academia and the Woke playbook to see that happening in real time right now.

UNH has fared better in balance issues than most of academia, so we've got that going for us. Stick around, eh? :-)
