Build a rink there and they will come;-)

Then again, maybe the ever-wily Walshy negotiated way better terms, if not for both, at least for himself ?!?

Didn't matter anyway ... as they say, Walshy was living rent-free in the collective minds of his fellow HEA coaches.
      This, right?: https://georgesapparel.com/

It undoubtedly was modest but money none the less.

I will not be out cheered in my own building.

Correct. And I'm sure the kind folks at the IRS would agree it was income, if not technically "money". ;-)

Using the search tool on the CHN site, I cannot replicate arcs64’s records, but that is probably because CHN is missing as many as 15 games. CHN also calls four of our six Maine games at Verizon/SNHU as UNH home games, in which UNH is 3-1-0 vs 0-2-0 in our two “neutral site” games there. So, not counting these six games, UNH appears to be 4-7-0 at other neutral sites, including the three in Portland’s Cumberland Arena where UNH is 2-1-0. There was also a UNH 5-4 win at Cross Arena (where is that, Augusta?) that CHN lists as a Maine home game, which probably belongs in the neutral site list. But what hurts UNH most in the all-time series with Maine is our deplorable 2-10-1 record at Snively. Ouch!

Pass. Going 0-2-1 given last night’s performance? Epic fail. Giving up the late first, early second period goals? Brutal. Giving up five before answering? Horrible. The timing and nature of the penalties? Terrible. ’cats might as well have gone full turtle, surrendered two more making it 7-2 for old time’s sake. Painfully disappointing to watch.

Putting it in context, it is never easy to win in Orono especially when Maine has lost two in a row. We are tied for third and league standings are tight other than BU. NU beat BC at Conte last night so pretty much anything including playing in the Garden and the NCAAs is still possible. RIT slapped UNH in the face and UNH responded fairly well. Maine punched them in the mouth and they did not. Some get hit and decide they don’t like it. Others figure it wasn’t that bad and they can react better next time. I’ve exited the all in camp and am back with the show me crowd.
How important was our three-game sweep of NU now that those Fuskies appear to have found their game? Watching UML-UVM on NESN this afternoon and I am no longer thinking, if I ever did, that those games will be gimmes, even after watching Bentley dismantle the Ospreys at Tsgonas a week ago Friday night.

Very. Still important, and here's why....the Hockey East points. Regardless of how well NU has been playing as of late, points are points...we'll take 'em. To me no matter
how well or poor a team is playing, or the stage of the game they are at, whether or not they have injuries, you still gotta have a winner and a loser. I'm sorry, when I think of
the past few seasons when NU cleaned the floor with us it just feels good to turn the tables. I really don't care how well they were playing then; and yeah, they'd
probably beat us if we played tomorrow...I bet they'd love those points back!

But I get what you are saying. Teams should improve and so should UNH. If we don't, well...I think we all know the reason why. If I look at the 3 games we have coming
up (am including Army and Sacred Heart) we should win. Should. If we don't we have bigger problems than we realize.

Whether or not we do if you ask me right now... I'm not as confident as I was 2 weeks ago...here's hoping!

ps...oh my...Yukon getting schooled by the Black Bears. UNH went 2-1 with them last season should be an interesting
series this year. Gonna be a long ride home to CT...

It's in nearby Bangor, so I'd list it as a UMaine home game.

Cannot look past RPI next weekend, even if we did beat Army 3-1 and Sacred Wallet 4-1 at the Whitt last season, when we stunk. Then, we host ECAC perennial doormat Princeton for two before facing the reality of HEA games the remainder of the season. If Umile had been able to schedule these five games in succession during his swan song season, he might have had a better shot at the NRN. If we lose just one of these five games, then our PWR is toast and any hope of the NCAAs is pretty much over, I think.

                      So, is Cross formerly Cumberland?

                      • Yes. Was Cumberland County Civic Center.
$90(more) for a drink holding ledge and a Maine blanket, but the views still great.

They’re playing a much more aggressive PK this year, which I assume requires more skill than packing it in tight in front. And most of the pressure on the puck comes from the forwards. If you typically roll two units (or is it more fore the PK than PP?) that’s only four forwards in your rotation. Now downgrade one of those guys in place of Delvin, and?

I do not think that having to move some forward up to play PK should make nearly as much as difference as moving some forward up onto the PP. Maybe just coincidental that the PK has gone south with Devlin’s absence. I am more concerned with the PP. To add a disclaimer, I do not consider myself to be “a smart member on this board.” :-)
