Weather forecast for Carlisle tomorrow is for sunny weather with a high in the mid-80's and low humidity. It's a good thing the football game is tomorrow, because the forecast calls for a heat wave, with perhaps the hottest weather yet this summer, starting Sunday.
Safe travels to Tony/Troy and any others who may be planning to travel to RPI's opening football game.

Last time it was furnace quitting late the night before the playoff game at Endicott which deep sixed that trip on account of a stinking $13 part that picked that night to quit.
Almost seems like this place does not like RPI and picks the days when occupants wish to travel out of town to RPI football to rear its' head and act up. Funny that it's rather unproblematic at virtually all other times.
Maybe the place is trying to tell me that I should have remained a renter so I could go to a freakin out of town game every now and then. Other later opportunities this year still exist for WPI, SLU or Hobart but, with this place, who knows. On the positive side, however, the place did not act up and gave me the needed five hours or so to travel and watch both of the games at Union since I moved in. Gee, thanks for the opportunity to visit such a "beautiful" city and get to do it twice!!!

For the football fans, RPI got off to a winning start with a 38-27 victory over Dickinson this afternoon in Carlisle, PA.
The first half was pretty even, with RPI taking the lead, 14-7, on a touchdown in the last minute of the second quarter. The running attack, which in the first half had been almost nonexistent except for quarterback keepers by Jake Kazanowsky, came alive behind Kayden White in the second half, and the Engineers opened their lead to 21-7 and then 24-7. Though Dickinson didn't quit and put three touchdowns on the board in the fourth quarter against an RPI defense which had had a long day in the heat, RPI's lead never dropped below ten points.
We had quite a sizable and noisy crowd of fans on the RPI side. Good to see.
