I love that documentary and definitely worth the watch for anyone who hasn’t seen it. I met someone at a party who told me he “played” for them and that led me to check the roster for his stats and stumble on Bob’s name.

The question was asked about why allow World Juniors participation given the chance of injury. I think elite players want to play in that and if a school didn't allow it they wouldn't get that (elite) player. He'd go to another school. Does that make sense?

BU has always allowed its players to participate in the World Juniors. Patrick Harper is the only one I recall being injured there and the injury led to a chest ailment. He missed the rest of his sophomore season and under-performed the next season. Then rebounded as a senior.

The BioSteel NHL Camp in Halifax, run by Sidney Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon is wrapping up after five days. Five Terriers are there: Lane Hutson and Macklin Celebrini, along with Jack Eichel, Charlie McAvoy and Evan Rodrigues. Celebrini is in a non-contact jersey, but has impressed staff with his shooting.

I’d like to get tickets for the 10/20 & 10/21 ND away games. Does BU sell tickets to the away games? I’d like to sit with other BU fans.

Seems Jarman is back on the team. IIRC, he was not on the roster a couple weeks ago (#28 this year)

Well, most people in the league think we’re good and didn’t lose much of a step from last year, huh? I guess I’m not surprised with what we have coming in with a solid core returning. Hope that stands by the end of the year. Looking forward to it! Nice to be well respected again for sure.

                    • Should be some barnburners between BC and BU this season. Look forward to the games.

Definitely looking forward to an injection of enthusiasm in the BU-BC games. Should be an electric atmosphere. BC-BU games always matter of course, but it's so much better when both teams are relevant on a national level, which should be the case this season.

                        • Some think we are the best team in the land going into the season.

Will I finally get to return to St.Paul for the first time since 94?

Means nothing unless we can perform on the ice. Let’s go get it!

Q&A with Captain Case McCarthy who also has been cleared for full practice.

I just instinctively thought that BU would take a small step back this year but it seems it may be actually a big step up. Which of the losses from LY does everyone think will be the biggest to replace. I do think Caron will be a solid backstop not worried about goalie. All of the LY Frosh should be that much better this year so that’s scary. Is the other Celebrini a big pickup like the other Hutson was or just a favor for the star ?

I think without a doubt, Fensore is the toughest to replace. He was huge for this team last year. I will miss his incredible skating. Next up for me is Matt Brown. While he wasn't dominant and had some consistency issues, he head a great year for this team. I think all others, including JOB are not tough to replace.

Aiden Celebrini is good enough to have been drafted, albeit in the 7th round. So he isn't a huge get, but he should be able to work his way into the lineup. I would assume that Willander and Gavin McCarthy are likely to play bigger roles, at least early on. And he committed first, so it wasn't an after the fact addition to appease the family.

It is always interesting to see how much freshmen improve in year 2. We always think optimistically and almost assume they will each do better. Obviously Lane is already among the best players in the country so it would be hard for him to improve. I think Ryan Greene is very skilled and seemed to hit a wall after a strong first half. Quinn Hutson, Jeremy Wilmer and Devin Kaplan all played big roles and will likely improve their point totals just because they will see more ice time (I think).

Seeing Macklin and Lane Hutson on the same PP should be fun!
