Wikipedia suggests that the school was established in late 1824, but did not start operating until 1825. I thought some of the longer-tenured participants on this chat board might have been around to see it ;-)

If I recall correctly I might have been dating Dolly Madison during that time period. Pretty hot lady who made some really neat ice cream!!

I showed up at RPI in the Fall of 1984 and remember getting a piece of cake celebrating the 160th year since founding. So yes... there is another year to go. Interestingly, if we compare the RPI bicentennial to America's we get a parallel of Nixon resigning in 1974 (year 198) and Shirley leaving in year 198 also. In year 199 (1975), Monty Python's Holy Grail came out - as did Jaws. Hopefully our 199th will be equally as fruitful and entertaining.

Muzzatti attended the recently completed Preds development camp. Due to a deep Calder Cup playoff run, their AHL players did not participate ...which made for a smaller roster and allowed the players much more coaching and interaction with the coaches. The story I read said they turned the camp into a teaching/skills event, vs. their usual conditioning focused event. i bet he learned a ton of good stuff...
