Even after his Mitchell Gibson impersonation tonight?

Where did I ever say he would get a vote? His stats aren't where they need to be and that run and gun system would never allow for great goalie stats. I imagine if he had the best defensive defenseman and best defensive forward in front of him he would be picked and his numbers would improve greatly.

Its an award for the best goalie stats and not the best goalie prospect. "All three are ranked in the top five in NCAA save percentage...."...Lazy.

Pietila will probably win it as he has the best stats among the three.

I'm astonished Close didn't make it.

That said Blake is the guy who should win it. Without him Tech wouldn't a cellar dweller.

Levi is out of contention in my view barring a insane run by NU for HE tournament championship. He was fairly average the last 4 games and absolutely abysmal at Lowell. His save percentage is good but his losses in December against poor teams really close the door in my view. He's a top 3 contender for sure but I think he needs another year in college hockey. Aside from one beanpot he has never won a really big game that he absolutely had to win.

Feels like this race has tightened amongst the top 4. Lot of goals given up tonight by 3 of the 4 :-)

It’s ok Andy Bernard….…..when we go to HE you can have a chance to win Cleary Cups again lol

After seeing Chrona last weekend I'd say he was good. It is somewhat hard to judge him on Friday since DU shut down WMU's offense well, but the few chances Western got he made the saves. On Saturday he was more instrumental in DU's win with DU on the PK much more. Chrona is likely the best goalie WMU has seen this season.

There’s always an idiot or two when the talent of a blue blood gets us come April.

I know we have this talk every year about Hockey East, I don’t believe that will happen soon. Hard to dislike being in the same breath of the elitists of Yale and everyone wants to see Schafer and Rand shake hands at least twice a year :-)

Pietila just cemented his place in the top three last night. He's making a strong case down the stretch.
