I can see Miami as better than Lindenwood, but would rather have ASU. If I were running it, I'd be fine staying pat with eight.
Given the choice as you lay it out I'd prefer Miami over ASU but I'm not crazy passionate about it and would be perfectly fine if it went your way. I'm sensing we can agree neither Miami nor ASU = Auggie or Lindenwood. My true preference is that we would have stayed at 8.

If you're at the Game this coming Saturday against Lake State, come to section 215, Row J, seat 9 and I'll buy you a beer!

Hey PIN wanted to get back to you after our near-miss at the Hyatt in Tempe last Friday. I was in the downstairs bar there until about 6:05 pm and then wandered over to the Mullet. Sorry I didn't realize there were two bars there.

I'm not at the game this weekend so you'll have to have a beer in my behalf. I live 150 miles from Mankato (in Wisconsin) and only get to a few games a year. After blowing my hockey travel budget in Phoenix, I might not get over there until the playoffs.

I'll look for you on the Flo TV broadcast tonight. Wear something purple and wave using your left arm.

      Regards

One thing is clear regarding Miami vs ASU in CCHA 2.0- we'd all prefer to have stayed at 8.

Apologies in advance to Augie fans.

I really don't understand what the rush was to admit them before even starting. Seems even more over aggressive with the uncertainty around Miami, ASU apparently poking around and all the other independents likely seeking a spot. Not that more shuffling can't happen, just seemed premature.

Do mods even exist on this board? Either move all the hijacks to one of the conference threads, or please close this MSU thread and let me start a new one that's actually about the MSU season.
My guy is a hard-nosed hockey player who is not afraid to crash the net. Your guy is a goon who runs the goalie.

              1) no, there aren't. 2) this is an organic discussion off of the mention that YOUR radio announcers said Lucia was at the ASU series. 3) this discussion will run its course in due time. 4) Zero legitimate MSU discussion has been missed while this is going on. 5) simmer down.

So many questions after this weekend: Am I a bad fan for being disappointed with taking 5 of 6 points? Why can't we score goals at home? Are there any linesmen who just drop the puck and get out of the way? Did anyone else think the best part of this whole weekend was no replay reviews?

Given the roster turn over, I'd say we're lucky to be where we are. If this is what rebuilding looks like, I'll take it. I'd like to make the tournament and at least get to the regional final. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

Nice workmanlike performance by the Mavs this weekend. They looked confident and solid in all phases. I didn't see any of the mistakes that cost them dearly in the first half of the season. I'm feeling a lot better about this team, hoping they can keep it going. NCAA tournament bid looking more realistic now.

With departures and injuries forcing some freshmen to jump right in, I'd say they've settled in nicely.

                      • This is getting really hard to deal with. 42 shots on goal against 13, and lose the game. It has happened too many times this season. Every team doesn't have Glenn Hall in goal. 23 years as a season-ticket holder, and I've never been more frustrated. I just don't know what else to say.

The weird part of this is that it's a Mankato-Only problem. We're doing just fine on the road, with 9 straight wins. Can we decline home ice in the playoffs and go on the road instead?

                          • Somebody must have declared this to be a "Screw Mankato" weekend. Missed penalties and disallowed goals. Never have seen so many bad breaks.

I saw the Mavs split a series in Princeton when a lot of their top guns from the past few seasons were freshmen or still in juniors. They didn't make the NCAA tournament that year or the year before. Those teams reminds of this year's team.

I think we're also going to lose a lot after this year. I'd be surprised if Livingstone or Hirose are back next year. This is Carroll's last year of eligibility. I also expect Furry, Sandelin, Borchardt to move on. Maybe even Pavel.

Sorry to not be sympathetic and troll you guys, but welcome to college hockey officiating reality. Ever listen to the Joe Shawhan hour over the last few years? Why do you think Tech pep band plays "3 Blind Mice" when the zebras step onto the ice?
