  • Well, been nice chatting with everyone this year. Probably not worth analyzing anything for the remainder of the year, mentioning fun facts, etc. It was fun there for a while. You never know, but we can win (or even tie) to save our lives right now. I’ll watch and hope there’s someway out of this, but I’m not seeing it.

Loser move had nothing to do with the outcome. Have your team play better and not collapse down the stretch. I thought tonite was much worse than last night with the breakdowns and another perplexing brain cramp by Commesso. They were only in the game because of 2 MC majors.

There are far too many reviews to begin with. The being able to challenge for a major and only lose a timeout as a penalty is a crock. Scrap that and make a failed challenge an immediate delay of game penalty. Leagues can always go back and issue supplemental discipline to a player.

I don't mind that they reviewed a game ending play like this one though.

I didn't see what you're referring to with Commesso but thought it was odd he was out after two goals. Figured he got hurt but then saw him on bench late in the game.

First goal he couldn’t do anything about. Second shot was tipped. Still risky play tossing puck boards and had to hurry back but that shot was tipped I believe. I like the call to put Vinnie in just to light a fire under the team.

So probably us and whoever wins the HE tournament (although I don’t put it past this team to catch some fire and win the thing). I would like to see us win our 2 remaining home games and sweep Vermont on the road heading into the postseason. Depending if we can right the ship, the road game at Providence to end the season could be a tough ask. I also see us staying East no matter what since it will only be about 4 or 5 eastern teams in.
Why does NU deserve to make it? They had an awful stretch and right now have a 32% of making it. You are what you are.

Well, for starters, they are now in 1st place. They won the Beanpot against 3 pretty good teams. They had a rough out of conference record, but they are playing well right now. Now in the 15 position.

Trivino has never been one of those players. Even outside of the rink, he'll say hi and is plenty of friendly, but has never been even close to saying or doing anything inappropriate.

They called it in the 1977 Final Four (they didn't call it the "Frozen Four" yet) at the old Detroit Olympia. BU was down to Michigan 5-4. Michigan took a penalty with 1:49 left, so Parker was going to pull Jim Craig for a 6 on 4 advantage. The ref skated over to Parker and told him "make sure he doesn't leave early (referring to whoever was going to come over the boards to replace Craig)." The second he came over the boards the ref called too many men on the ice. Dan Lerg scored an ENG and Michigan won 6-4. Just saying...

Are they irreparably broken? Did the Beanpot ruin them?

The Beanpot is supposed to be a springboard. Right now it’s a belly flop.

6 more? Seems about right. #OffTheCliff

Well watching the Beanpot the last two weeks and seeing Quinnipiac yesterday and BU/MC tonight, I think that neither team NU or BU could beat QU so I'm not thinking either team BU playing like they were 2 weeks ago or NU now with their .968 save percentage goalie over the past 6 weeks could come close to beating them.

As it stands right now, NU could very well end up playing QU in Bridgeport. BU on the other hand has played themselves out of a #1 seed in Terrier friendly Manchester and into potentially the #3 seed in Fargo with #1 overall Minnesota. The committee doesn't seem to care as much about attendance as people think they do so it's possible.

They're still in the mythical field as of today. That's all I am going off of.
