Polls come out today - should be fun for discussion. BU is up to #3 in pairwise. I think Minnesota will move up to #1 but BU may slide into the #2 spot above Quinnipiac but most likely BU will be #3 is my guess.

Interesting that BU got more first place votes (7) than Quinnipiac (4), who is ranked 2nd. And wow, St. Cloud dropped to 5! So......this weekend, Minnesota is idle and Quinnipiac plays Harvard. Nervous about getting into a situation if BU wins, Quinnipiac loses and with Minnesota not playing...well, you know where my mind is headed. Would not want to go into the Beanpot with that on their shoulders.

Also, do all Hockey East teams have two idle weekends this season? BU did not play the first weekend of November and for the first time in, like, ever, they're not playing the Friday between Beanpot games.

Totally agree, being #1 in a poll is great but all it really does is put additional pressure on a team to perform and create a larger target on their backs....lately it seems there is a new #1 team every week given that added pressure.

Commesso gets HE Goaltender of the Week and Lane Hutson gets HE Rookie of the Week. And while I believe Lane had a few points to warrant the award, in all honesty, I thought it was one of his weaker weekends. I suppose it could be because of the insane amount of playing time he had both nights (Thanks Maine), but he looked almost human these games.

Didn't someone post here that BU would be the away team on Monday's Beanpot opening round? At the Garden today Fensore had the white home jersey. I'm thinking the defending champ should be the home team but I never know how they do that.

I didn't see it mentioned by BU, but I don't pay much attention to the BU press releases. With the win on Saturday Coach Pandolfo matched Coach Parker's first season record (1973-74: 19-6-0) for the best start by a BU head coach. With a 0.760 winning percentage they are just ahead of Coach Cleverly, who had a 17-5-2, 0.750 record his first two seasons (1945-46: 2-0-1; 1946-47 15-5-1).

Coach Cleverly started the next season 3-0-0 to go 20-5-2, 0.778 before his next loss, 26-6-2, 0.794 after 34 games and 37-9-2, 0.792 his first three seasons
Coach Parker started the next season 2-0-0 to go 21-6-0, 0.778 before his next loss, 26-8-0, 0.765 after 34 games and 45-11-1, 0.798 his first two seasons

NOTE: Coach Vaughan had the best first season winning percentage of 0.792 (9-2-1), but BU only played 12 games in 1928-29.

Grrrrr. I thought I was able to access ESPN+ from my Disney+ account. I was able to do it in the fall once. Just went to Disney+ to check, and after a long call with Disney+ customer service, turns out my plan doesn't include. Or they changed it. The website said if you can't get that legacy bundle anymore but if you had it before and made no changes, etc., you should still have it. So why can't I access it??? So annoyed right now. They couldn't just change my plan on the phone. I would have to cancel, sign up for the new bundle, then cancel and sign back up for the plan I have now. Too much work for one game. I'll just follow along on Twitter I guess.
