Certainly Dumais has to be near the top of the list. I think Pecknold recently heaped a ton of praise on him recently and even I think mentioned him as being ready to be a head coach...
Also, you have to at least give Riley a call to gauge his interest. He's done a ton of work getting LIU off the ground and has now started two programs from scratch... so he certainly understands the level of effort being the HC takes. At the end of the day, LIU is an independent program - at least for the time being - that's a tenant in the Islanders practice building with no plans to build a rink. LIU doesn't even yet have dedicated locker rooms at Northwell...after awhile dragging hockey bags around on a daily basis gets REALLY old. All of this is a long way of saying that Riley might be enticed to come put his mark on a storied program that he is familiar with and which has beautiful facilities. Just my two cents !
PS: Is there any chance Vaughn slides into the A.D. job for a few years ???....or is he fully ready to spend winters where it isn't frozen ?""Ralph is the Chuck Norris of this board. Ralph doesnt sleep he just waits." - fishcore12

Could truly not be happier for Coach Vaughan. Had every feeling this would be his last hurrah. He was a class act who was dedicated to Colgate in every way. Glad to see he will remain a part of the community for the foreseeable future.
